Small and Slow
I previously owned a Roka wetsuit that fit well and was fast. Unfortunately, after a couple of years it became torn and worn out. I bought the XTerra do to the fact that it was on sale for $200. According to the website, a small fits anyone from 130-150 lbs and who is 5' 6" - 5' 9" tall. I am 5' 8" tall and 131 lbs and I can barely fit into this wetsuit. It does keep me warm, but I am also much slower in the XTerra compared to the Roka. Friends who I swim with are usually 25-50 yards behind me when I wear the Roka. In the XTerra, I am just keeping up with my friends.

In short, best used and deal for use as your training suit
This suit is designed and best used for it's durability to "Train & Prepare" you for a triathlon, Sprint, Classic, and or Ironman. If you're serious, you'll need to spend more.Look at the Zipper and closing around the neck and spine for superiority in design when deciding what is best in aerodynamics and in consideration per your budget.

Missing in fine print - zipper
The wetsuit is great.Swimming in 50-60 degree water without issueThe issue is the zipper brokeWarranty covers everything except the zipperIt’s not in the fine print but told when I called “it’s recommended a 2nd person zip up the suit”, that should be in the fine print! We fixed the zipper ourselves with a clever gadget Amazon sells. Also chaffing around neck line - make sure Velcro’s attachment is below the rubber neck line rim to prevent irritation.

Suit tore at the crotch after 10 uses...do not buy!!!
I purchased this wetsuit and received it on June 20th, 2022. I have worn the wetsuit maybe 10 times at the very most...it may have been less than that. When I went to put it on this past Friday, I heard a tearing sound as I pulled it up over my but and legs. I looked down and the suite and it tore right at the seam. I was pretty bummed about it, but I figured most company's stand behind their products. I'll just contact them, and I'm sure they will take care of it. The only concern was I have a race in 6 days, so I wasn't sure we could figure out the timing.Well that's not the experience I had at all. I followed all of the warranty steps, and sent in the e0mail with the pictures attached above, and within 3 minutes they came back and said that my tear is not a warranty tear. It was caused by excessive force? I was like excessive force from what? Putting the suit on? It fit just fine, and I had no issues with wearing or swimming in it. Needless to say, I will never buy a product from Xterra again. I cannot believe their standards are so low for quality that an issue like this is not under warranty. Additionally, even if it was under warranty I would have to pay for the shipping to get it back to them in California.Bad company....bad policies that are selfish for the company. DO NOT BUY ANY PRODUCTS FROM THIS COMPANY UNLESS YOU WANT TO TAKE THE RISK OF THIS HAPPENING TO YOU.

Great wetsuit for the price
Bought this Xterra Wetsuit a few weeks ago and have had a chance to do 2 open water workouts in it. I'm new to swimming in a wetsuit so I took the time to visit Xterra website and read through the tips on how to put on and what to expect when swimming and they really helped. The suit fit's pretty good so the sizing info on the website was helpful and accurate. The water temp was in the 50's and the wetsuit kept my body warm so it did it's job. Also nice to have the buoyancy! This suit was an awesome price and so far seems to be a good quality suit for the price. I do have a couple of questions for Xterra about some wrinkles and what appears to be an excessive glue spot but will contact them directly. While I was swimming another group of swimmers came out and noticed 3 out of the 5 where in Xterra wetsuits. Time will tell how it holds up but for now would definitely recommend to others.

Great wet suit
For ten years I've been using a sleeveless wetsuit for triathlons but I was just getting too cold in water temperatures below 65 degrees. I've used it several times now in both training and competition and the Vortex was great. In all cases the water temperature was within two degrees of 56 degrees and I was quite comfortable. The sizing chart was a little off for me but I Amazon made it very easy for me to exchange it for a size larger although Xterra was virtually impossible to contact by phone, I left multiple voice messages until their voice mail filled up. I'm glad I bought it thru Amazon.

This suit is great and it WILL cut time off your swim compared to suitless.
Just got back from a pool swim (25 yard pool). This thing is insane!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Literally cut 5 minutes off my time on a 1.2 mile swim. First wet suit I've ever worn. Felt like super man. Practically just float through the water. Don't even need good swim technique (jk)... it'll just get you to the end. Being that it was an indoor pool, l felt like I was heating up in the suit, but this is should be great in cooler open waters. I have a broad chest, so zipping up is virtually impossible without help.

Great quality product.
The size chart on the manufacturers website is very confusing. Ordered according to chart size but it's way to small for me.Product quality is excellent. Waiting for the right size.Product quality and materials used: 5 stars,Size chart: 1Overall: 3 stars.
