Amazing product
The Dubia roaches are the perfect size for my juvenile bearded dragon the first time I ordered from ASFEEDER I only ordered 50 then I ordered 200 and then I ordered 400. The first time I got the Dubia roaches was a crumpled piece of brown paper in a mesh bag which was ok but it was so hard to get every single Dubia roach out of the crumbled piece of paper. The second time I ordered from AAFEEDER was better I got egg cartons Which was better then a crumbled piece of paper but it was in a mesh bag so it was really hard to get all the Dubia roaches from the mesh bag. The Third time I got the Dubia roaches was when I got 400 almost every single one was alive there were just two tiny containers with egg cartons that I could just plop right into the Dubia roaches bin

Good amount and condition, great deal.
So glad we ordered these. we had been warned against ordering dubias off of Amazon and were definitely skeptical after reading a lot of the reviews. But based on some of the reviews and advice from bearded dragon owners and a Facebook group we decided to take the chance, because buying these things at the pet store is so expensive! They came in a nice big plastic tub and by far the majority of them arrived, and have stayed, alive. No scary other bugs or anything Unless something changes this is how we will be getting them from now on.

Good price, arrived alive, tricky to transfer
I usually love this company and have used them multiple times but this time when the dubias arrived they were in a crumpled piece of butcher block paper inside a cloth bag… It was next to impossible to get them out and into the container where I store my feeder bugs! It was so stressful trying to transfer them and took more than one person to accomplish in order to keep them contained and not have them end up all over my house! One time I received them in a plastic container and was able to just dump them into my container and another time it came with egg cartons pieces and I was able to just set the egg cartons that the bugs had nestled into right into my container.

Excellent health. Fast shipment. More than what I expected!
I bought these to feed to my bearded dragon while I start my own small colony. Came in a large envelope with small plastic container inside. Defiantly close to 400 individuals. All very healthy, I don't think one was dead! Most were a bit larger than pictured (length the diameter of a US dime). Couldn't have asked for a better experience with live insects.

They came alive and everything.
I have a small dubia farm going so I can feed my tarantulas without buying too many crickets at the store. 400 small is just what I needed to keep the inbreeding from going out of control. Now I saw some reviews and people only getting these so they can feed them to their pets right away and they threw a fit over the low count or too many dead ect ect. I found a lot, not too sure of the count wither it was 400 or not doesn't matter too much to me. Threw them into the farm I have and went on with my day. They also added a free bag of water crystals too so that is a plus.If you are getting this to start or support a farm, get them. If you are only getting this to quickly feed your pets then you might want to get a higher count than 400. The delivery was faster than what the tracker was telling me as well, came by in 3 days after order.

We got around 300 at best and probably less than that
This was a very disappointing purchase for a variety of reasons:1) First of all, we didn’t get 400 dubia roaches. We got around 300 at best and probably less than that. I am feeding my bearded dragon about 20 per day, so in 10 days or so I will have a better estimate of how many roaches we actually got, but it is pretty obvious we got way less that we paid for.2) Many roaches arrived dead. I know it is normal for 2 or 3 to die during the shipping but we got a few dozen dead ones. They were inside a very small bag with what looks like a tiny piece of carrot. The temperature here was in the seventies so they didn’t die because of that. I don’t know what happened but the seller is supposed to know how to ship them properly to keep them alive. And the least they could do is to include the amount buyers are actually paying for in the package. This seller didn’t do either.3) There were other bugs in the package, tiny beatles or bugs I’m unable to identify and didn’t buy at all. This experience has been frustrating since I was planning to stop feeding crickets to my bearded dragon and stick to dubia roaches until he grows enough to be mostly vegetarian. I don’t want to have my own colony, just wanted to order small dubias regularly to feed my beardie. I think I will give this one more try with a different vendor, ABDragons probably and see how it goes. But DBDPets I will avoid and I think you should to.

Shipping issue
Amount I ordered was appropraitely supplied, however the seller asks that you put the word "HOLD" in your address if you want these held at the local post office because it's too cold. I'm in seattle area and temps have been low so I did as instructed, however they were delivered directly to my door step and I was at work unable to get them inside right away. Luckily they only spent 1 hour outdoors in 50 degree weather before I could get home, but the seller should probably pay better attention to instructions they required the buyer to follow to hold at the post office.

Best we’ve bought so far l....
Although I wasn’t into them being shipped in a bag as it is not easy getting them out of the bag (seems like plenty of places ship in a bag, so must be a common practice just FYI), this is definitely the best place we’ve bought them from so far. It looked like the majority arrived alive, with pieces of egg crate and food in the bags, which I thought was very nice and helpful. Also seems to be a good price compared to what you find online. I’m sure it’d be even cheaper to start a colony, but I’m not into it and my boyfriend DEFINITELY isn’t it, so we’ll keep ordering from here. Now if only they had a subscribe option. 🤔
