I was successful in refilling a cartridge with this kit. It has been a couple of days using my printer and so far so good. The kit comes with everything you need except something to protect your work surface. Very important to give yourself enough room to work if this is the first time you will try this. I used a large garbage bag on the desk and glad I did. Also, I used my own cheap disposable gloves and it is a good idea to have more than one set on hand so that you can walk away for a while and come back. Last it only comes with one sticker to cover the hole you make on top to insert the ink. This makes no sense to me because the is enough ink to refill four times. This is not a real problem because once you figure out which hole is the correct one, just peel off the stick that is there and stick is back on once the ink is in. Same thing about the empty syringe. It says discard after using. You will need it again so just empty it and wipe as clean as you can.I like that the ink bottles are designed like big fat syringes with plungers the have measurements on the side to let you read how much ink you have inserted. I have no idea about the other reviewer's issue with an air bubble -- you push any air out before you begin. I do think the clip is ill fitting, but you can work around this by holding the clip at the top and the bottom when you insert the cartridge and are trying to start the ink flow with the empty syringe provided.Okay, having said all of that, I am going to try to give some clear step by step instructions. I could not find any instructions in one place that was completely clear. Anyone that wants to add or correct something here, have at it.1. Give yourself space and good light. Place everything in front of you on a trash bag. Do not be is a rush.2. Have paper towels ready (meaning already torn from the roll). Have trash can beside you.3. Put gloves on first. You are going to get ink on your hands otherwise. Change gloves when you do and throw away the inked up ones and put on a fresh pair, that way it does not go everywhere.4. ***Blot the cartridge you are trying to fill to see if there is still ink on the bottom. There should not be.***5. Peel the top sticker off the cartridge. If you do not know which hole to fill use the sticker provided in the kit or watch a video that will show you.6. Attach needle to ink bottle. Make sure it is secure. Hold needle on a paper towel and then push plunger until ink squirts out of tip of needle. Do not apply a lot of pressure or a lot of ink will squirt out.7. Stick needle into cartridge. It has to go about 3/4 down. It will feel like you are trying to break through tough styrofoam. Once you "break through" then push the plunger to feed the ink into the cartridge SLOWLY. Each ink cartridge is 20 ml. The instructions say 10 ml for 63XL and 4 ml for regular 63. I used less than 10 ml for a 63XL my first time out.8. This is the most important part. Place your refilled cartridge in the clip. Try to make it as snug as possible. The point of this step is to suck the air out of the bottom of the cartridge to start the ink flowing. Remember you cannot touch the metal parts of the cartridge at anytime. Once it is in the clip hold the clip on the top and bottom with one hand to make as good of a seal as you can on the bottom.9. Take the empty syringe and push all of the air out of it BEFORE you stick it in the bottom of the clip. hold top and bottom of clip. Push the empty syringe nozzle as far into the clip as you can. Now pull the plunger back on the empty syringe. ****You may pull nothing out other than air. If so, pull the empty plunger nozzle out of the clip, push the air out of the empty plunger, stick the syringe nozzle back into the clip, and pull the plunger again. Keep repeating this process until you finally pull out some ink. Pull until you get a slight but steady flow of ink.****10. Carefully take the cartridge out of the clip and gently blot the bottom of the cartridge on a paper towel to get rid of excess. When it blots in a somewhat clear small rectangle you know you have cleaned up AND have good flow. If you cannot get a small rectangle shape of ink, I would go back to #9.11. Once the cartridge is cleaned up, insert in your printer and do an alignment. HP will send a message that the cartridge is fake, empty, whatever and that you should order their cartridge. There will also be a message in small print that says you can ignore their message and continue. I am not telling you what to do, but I ignored the message and did my alignment. I have been printing fine every since.I hope this is helpful to somebody. Ink cartridges are really expensive now. This is going to save me a LOT of money if it continues to work. If I have a problem, I will revisit this review, but so far so good. I hope this will help somebody else to save money too.HP - if you are reading this, I am sure you would have a great market in refilling/recycling business at this point. I am sure that there are people who would love to be able to directly send you empty cartridges and receive refilled ones. Thx.

Great product just needs some upgrade
Great product, works great, just some suggestions, needle is too long and cap of ink should be more secure. Upload on YouTube a video of how to refill and solving common problems.Recommendations for people buying this kit, use a plastic cloth in your work area, keep some bounty paper towels on hand, use your gloves all the time, it's messy the first time. You'll survive no worries

Poorly designed
I have used Inktec brand refill kits in the past with no problem, but they have become expensive, so thought I would try this Inkjet brand refill. It was a waste of money and huge waste of time. The kit materials are not well made. The refill containers are difficult to determine when the correct amount of ink has been delivered because it is hard to see the ink level and there was an air gap below the plunger. The refill clip is too small. My cartridge would not sit flat in the clip. This was a problem when I tried to suction ink out of the bottom of the cartridge as one of the final steps. It would not work. (I had to use the clip from an Inktec kit to get it to work.) Finally, after that delay, I installed it in the printer only to have spent 2 hours trying to get the printer to recognize the cartridge. I never could resolve this issue after trying multiple suggested fixes from online help sites. Huge waste of time and money.

Money saver
This kit comes with everything I need to fill out my cartouches. However, I have to get extra gloves because my hands are bigger than the standard size. The gloves are my only complaint. The rest of the items are great and easy to use.
