Worked great in my vintage 2005 Apple Power Mac G5 Dual Core. Down clocked to the correct speed and all sticks were recognized properly. I use this machine for old versions of software that aren’t available for newer Mac’s, so this was a great upgrade to max out its ram. Much more cost effective than getting the “Apple Specific” ram, this works just as well. If you have a final generation G5 (pci-e models) this will work great.

This is the second set that I have bought. The first two I put into a Presario 6000 laptop that only had two gigs of memory so was doubled with this set. The second set was installed in a Lenovo with only 2.5 gigs, so almost double. Speeds things up a little for very little cost. I could have installed two 4 gig sticks but the cost is ten times the amount and maybe not worth the price in these old laptops. It was an easy install and gave me no trouble at all.

Needed to replace two of the four 2GB memory sticks that were failing on an old Gigabyte AMD motherboard. But since this memory was so inexpensive, I just replaced all four sticks with this 8GB kit.The memory fits perfectly and the motherboard's BIOS immediately identified the timings as 6-6-6-18. Passed Memtest and Windows Memory Diagnostic without issues. So far so good! I'm glad this memory is inexpensive because my Gigabyte motherboard (and the AMD Phenom ii X4 CPU) will be at the end of life, as they won't support the latest version of Windows 11.

Tested with mem tester and results were fine. Popped into my iMac 7,1 and it is working fine.

I added another 4Gb of RAM to an old computer which I had recently installed Windows 11 on. The upgrade was super simple to do and the memory was automatically recognized by Windows upon startup. It makes the old computer run quicker, especially when opening several windows or tabs at the same time. Just make sure you get the same type of memory both in speed and form, e.g. DDR3 and DIMM to match the RAM already installed in your computer.

I used these to double the RAM in an old 2008 iMac. Anyone else reading this review might be interested to know the iMac can use a 2gb + 4gb configuration.In the end the computer still isn't that good, but that's a story for another day.
