I'm a longtime but cheap, er, inexpensive watch collector, and somehow don't remember ever owning a Casio 😯 I (re?)discovered Casio while watching vintage collector videos on YouTube. It was rather stunning how high end collectors talked with reverence about certain Casios - most notably G-Shocks and this Royale. Not looking a gift horse in the mouth, I tried this Royale, and even spent an extra two bucks on the silver bodied one - Big Spender!Let's just say I have been blown away by the Royale, here are a few observations:- incredibly good looking watch! Yeah, I know it's painted plastic, but no one knows from more than a few feet away... And the shape, combined with the silver and black looks positively terrific. Also literally the perfect size for me (7 inch wrist).- insanely light for the size. I swear I have forgotten I have this on my wrist, so much so that I must be more careful, I already scratched the crystal working on my bikes!- Surprisingly large time face. I was not expecting how large, high contrast and legible the actual time is, super bright from almost any angle, which is, of course, THE most important aspect of wearing a wrist watch!- surprisingly comfortable wrist band, like a black fluffy rubber cloud.- looks like a BOSS Secret Agent watch! I feel like a SHIELD agent wearing this, Coulsen should definitely get one. It of you are older, Dick Tracy. btw think about it - Casino Royale… Casio Royale… get it?- 10 Year battery. 100m/ 330 ft water resistant (in case my submarine goes down). World time (two different times displayed at the same time, even!). Are you kidding me?!?- insanely low price. I kind of feel like I stole it, even though I know I didn't.Nits: Orange light. Works but feels dorky. Lots of words on the face. That's about it.Highest recommendation - BUY IT!!!Plus: it’s customizable! Like golf, the entry cost is low, but the sky’s the limit. This watch is so popular, there are literally hundreds of customizations available. I tried one and I love it - for $5 on eBay I picked up a different faceplate, which totally opens the whole face for even greater visibility, and loses all the extraneous words, check it out…p.s. if you really travel, get this one, not the metal bracelet version - this one is all plastic and won’t set off the TSA metal detector!!!!

Bought this watch because of all the hype around the whole "Casio Royale" and I can definitely see a benefit when traveling to be able to easily switch time zones with your watch. It also carries a level of "sophistication" to it without being overly sophisticated. I went for the metal bracelet because I already have some other Casio watches with resin bands. It's also extremely easy to wear with the quick release on the watch band and then just slide it off.It was easy to adjust the watch band using a small flathead screwdriver and a small punch tool that is used for adjusting watch bands (could probably also use something small like a paperclip for the micro-adjustments). After adjustment, it fits perfectly!The time display is very easy to read and, while all digital, the digital "analog" clock adds a nice touch. While I cannot speak to the durability of this watch as I've only owned it for a week, it certainly has held up well thus far. If it's anything like my other Casio watches, it will do fine for many years to come.This watch did not disappoint! If you're like me and tired of the beeps and bloops of a smartwatch and just want a watch that tells time, can run a stopwatch, countdown timer, and you can set alarms on, this would be a great choiceI would highly recommend this watch to anyone, it's definitely worth adding to your collection or to use as your everyday watch.

Very nice! I purchased this watch recently for my 26 year old autistic son when I got a look at the watch that I bought for him as a graduation gift 8 years ago. That watch was a bit more expensive than this but LED watches seem to be getting more and more difficult to find these days and my boy doesn’t want anything to do with a Non-LED watch. In fact I was surprised that he wanted this watch in silver because he’s always liked BLACK. OK then, son.My son can be hard on his belongings but I know that he wasn’t being abusive to his watch. He wear the thing every single day and sometimes door knows and other things just get in the way. He tried to repair the damage but Scotch tape isn’t really the way to go about it, and replacement parts, if available would have likely been cost prohibitive so new watch was the right call. He doesn’t ask for a lot, except at Christmas and Birthday time and he’s a really good young man. He loves his new watch and says he would recommend it. That’s good enough for me!

This the best watch I have ever owned. The band looks cheep but is durable. Kind of hard to figure out, but once you get the handle of it it is very easy. When it broke it was because I was being dragged across a field while being dog piled during tube tug. And even then, the only thing that broke was the metal axle that holds the wristband to the watch and only on one side. Everything else was in place and perfect. Vey, Very durable an awesomely cool! would buy again.
