This is my second review. My first one I stated you couldn't tighten it down because the small screws were junk and cammed out. Well, it turns out it wasn't the set screws, it's the allen wrench that rounds off. I decided to try it again using my allen wrenches and everything works fine, so far. I just want to give a fair review and accurate review.

Fits and works as expected for a Marlin 45-70.

I would give this 5 stars but there was no instructions. And you might say, "Who needs instructions?" Well, they give you two Allen set screws for a reason and it isn't because you might loose one of the little suckers like you might guess. You need to use both screws to keep the first from backing off. If you do that the hammer spur works great and stays in place.

Great quality, went on perfect. Added locktite to threads. As someone else mentioned I ran both set screws in. So far it’s very tight and dosent flop around. Time will tell how long it last but so far thumbs up. Had to drill the set screw out of a old one I had, screw got stripped out and was dangerously loose.

Perfect addition to my Marlin 30-30.A must need if you have a scope mounted.Great product. 👍

I mounted it on a Marlin 1895 45/70 easy to use, snug tight fight with the supplied screw covered in loctite and supplied allen wrench. Very good quality.
