HiokiCM4376 AC/DC True-RMS Clamp Meter, 1000A with Innovative Jaw for Remarkable Accessibility, Built in Bluetooth

This is a Great clamp meter. Is my daily clamp meter , just top build quality, feels great in the hand. The clamp gets into very tight crowded electrical panels. Readings are very fast except for the capacitance where it takes a second to read (fluke is very fast in everything). I also have a Fluke 375 and this Hioki is right there with the Fluke in terms of overall quality. I prefer this to Fluke 375 for the very thin clamp and also the continuity function has the screen red alert which helps in noisy environment where when you can not hear the beep.

So far this clamp meter is great. Have only just made few measurements but look forward to the logging feature

The media could not be loaded.  great for solar installations due to 1700V DC voltage capacity and 1000A DC current. very stable dc current readings on conductors that drives cheaper clamp meter readings all over the place. useful and well designed Bluetooth app that extends its functionality. unmatched clamp design that gets into tight places others simply cannot. inrush current that gives both peak and RMS values. It cannot measure below 1Amp, though. It has no provision for flex CT. Quite pricey but you get the quality you paid for. This was also made in Japan. (Photo 1- real time inrush and running current; Photo 2- inrush current peak, RMS, and waveform as monitored on its Android app Gennect Cross.)

Purchased this from Hioki and compared it with readings from Fluke 289, 116, 375 and it is just as accurate. Love the fact it has Temp and AC DC reading together. Also the app works really well with this meter.

The 1500vdc capability and the fact that they can get into a tight spot on the DC feeders of a solar inverter makes them ideal. You only need one tool to get the job done.We buy a bunch of these and we believe Hioki is first quality...maybe better than Fluke.Mike
