Bought this to help me know when my pizza stone is up to the correct temperature. It's so accurate, long lasting batteries and works excellently. Wouldn't hesitate to bit from this seller again

Come with batteries and easy to use

The media could not be loaded. Ok so I wasn't expecting much for the price, but this is almost unusable. After setting up which was easy, you simply pull the compartment door and plug in the supplied battery. After that it's all down hill. Everytime I pulled the trigger the device would cut out, was about to be the fasted return Amazon has ever seen. However I then noticed there was a battery symbol in the top left corner, no mention of what this means in the instructions. I thought I would check the battery using a multimeter, and there was the problem my brand new 9v battery is reading 7v. So have I been supplied a second hand unit? Who knows. I put a brand new battery in there and all was looking promising, I tested it on my sofa and it was reading 96°c I was ready to jump up thinking my sofa was about to go up flames, I quickly tested it 3 more time still 96°c. Luckily on the 4th time my sofa went down to 25°c. Whoo that was lucky.

When reviewing this I compare it with my previous temp gun, which was orange and cost around a tenner.Today I returned the BTMETER as I found it giving a 2 degree Celcius higher reading compared to the reading given by a lab grade Mercury meter. 2 degrees might not be noticeable for most folks, but for reasons best known to myself I have to have an absolute, spot on reading. I don't consider a +-2 degrees read-out reliable or satisfactory.Compared to my previous temp gun, which I had given away and now needed to replace, I found the reaction time to be slow . By that I mean the time from activating the gun to the point where it finally yielded a reading.I found the trigger to be unnecessarily stiff to press.The gun rattled when moved which I found irritating.The fact that it needs a 9V battery is also a hassle as that battery type is not one usually have a little stack of.

Ich hatte mich vorher schlau gemacht und herausgefunden dass die billigen Infrarotthermometer fast alle sehr ungenau sind bis auf dieses hier. Und ich wurde nicht enttäuscht, das Gerät sieht richtig billig aus und ist richtig billig gemacht, das Display ist ein Graus aber die Messtechnik ist vorzüglich.Also hochwertiges (oder zumindest gut funktionierendes) Innenleben im billigsten Plastikgewand.Zeigt die korrekte Temperatur sogar bei Flüssigkeiten in Glasbehältern - erstaunlich. Man muss natürlich schon die "Emissivity" nach Tabelle, einstellen und die Größe des Messflecks beachten das ist aber durch das Prinzip bedingt, das ist bei teuren Geräten auch nicht anders.Wohl das Beste in der Preisklasse denk ich mal.

This meter is perfect for my use. Even has "extra" features I didn't realize it came with. Fast shipping from the seller and it came with a battery. I opened the box, installed the battery, and was using it in less than two minutes. Best price on Amazon. I recommend this thermometer.

I just needed a simple laser thermometer for my pizza oven - this gets the job done. It's accurate (as far as I can tell) and fairly inexpensive compared to similar products. It could be easier to use but once you set it up, you don't need to mess with any settings.
