iLIVING ILG-002T Fan Thermostat Control Box, 8, Silver

I have purchased two of the ILiving thermostats and neither one has worked. The company replaced one as a warranty replacement and it was worse than the one it replaced. The two that I purchased came on properly but wouldn't turn off until the temperature was 20 or more degrees below the setting. The warranty replacement comes on well below the setting and I have to turn it up 30 degrees past the setting to get it to turn off. I tried working with ILiving but after they determined that my wiring was correct, they never returned a phone call or an email. They are completely ignoring the problems with their product. I'll never recommend their thermostats again.

Device came with instructions for a different unit, so no useful instructions at all. Like others have noted, my unit just has two black wires coming out. From the answers on this website, it sounds as though it makes no difference which of the black wires goes to the power and which goes to the fan, but you don't know that without coming to this website. I like to put all junctions inside a junction box, but the wires for the thermostat are to short to do that. I'm going to have to have two junctions (wire nuts and electrical tape) in the open in the attic. Not sure if the lack of a grounding screw is important.

The diagrahm in the manual is microscopic can not be read. The one under the cover of the therostat was better. Not too sure how accurate it is. but it does turn on and off. The fan is better than the thermostat.

First one I got failed immediately Amazon replaced 2nd worked ok for 6 months then it failed to turn off fan. When it did work the variance in the temperature to turn on and off was to great to be very accurate at all.

Did not like this product because it would not turn fan on or shut fan off automatically when set temperature was archived. I believe the sole purpose of this thermostat is to turn fan on and off automatically which it did not. Vendor Sending replacement unit. Will report on how it works.The replacement unit did not turn unit on when desiredetbtemp was reached nor would it ever cut off when I manually would turn fan on and temp came down. Crazy!

Hooked it up and the span between on & off was drastic It never held a steady temp. You never knew if it was going to come on or not or if it would shut off once it started.

This product does not turn the fan on at the dialed setpoint, but instead turns it off. Why the heck would you want to turn the fan off when it's to hot?

It is fine for controlling temperature in the attic, but in my case it did not work well in controlling the temperature in my utility room where water heating tank, and other equipment generates heat and I needed tighter fan control to evacuate the heat. I had to build electronic thermostat with a range of 2 degrees ON-OFF-ON range to have fan cycle instead staying on all the time.

Only one hole for wire should have two.

Easy install
