I wrote a review and originally only gave it one star as the remote didn't work and I was disappointed the pedestal fan didn't show the temperature as many reviews had said it did. What I hadn't appreciated was that two different types of fans were for sale on the same page (a pedestal and tower) and so reviews on both items had been lumped together. That was my error in not giving the page my full attention before I purchased, but I still wish Amazon didn't put totally different items on the same page as it makes the review scores meaningless.However, having got over my initial disappointment I will give a fairer review of the pedestal fan. I contacted the seller about the broken remote and two days later I received a replacement by first class post. No argument, no hassle, just good old fashioned customer service. Excellent.The fan itself looks really nice, is fairly quiet and has lots of options for various types and degrees of cooling. At first I found the Sleep mode strange in that you get short bursts, but now after just a few days I find it really soothing and for the first time in a good few years I fall back to sleep after waking at 4.30 most mornings. I am a light sleeper and even on its highest setting I sleep well. I occasionally wake and think it's a little noisy then drop right back to sleep, so it's not that bad, and you can turn down the power using the remote if it bothers you too much.In short I am very pleased with the fan and particularly appreciate the customer services prompt attention.

Totally love this fan, good quality, solid in it's build, remote control, different settings with a variable 'natural wind' setting and sleep mode. Only downside is that when you pick it up, the base is so heavy that the bottom half slips off - quite a shock when it falls on your toes!!! Doesn't screw up tight enough to stay in one piece so save some profanity and pick it up by the bottom half!!

Looks good but Had to give one star as on assembly the main shaft was missing so never actually got it working returning it x will not replace as it’s heavy to carry into town as have to have QR return label, hassle so ordered different one, would of been happy if missing piece could be sen but no option available

Stop. Do Not Buy This Fan!!!I it broke apart on Day 3 of unboxing it. Everything is plastic and breaks easily, it doesn't close properly, even when it does it, the lid still falls off, the propeller loosens and jumps out. I would ask for a refund but too much bad news happened i had to throw it out before things got worse!!I could have died as a result of this fan.

Not the best build. Having issues locking the top half to the bottom half as the tightening knob has little to no effect and just sits there on top loosely. The bottom half and the base does not hold the fan upright instead at a sloping angles as the base fitting is very loose. Other then that the fan works fine

Love the sound and ease of use,this pedestal fan does exactly as described. The addition of being remote controlled ensure you don’t even need to get up,out of bed etc to program the array of option. Would highly recommend this and customer service has been faultless.

love this fan! love the sleep mode, i keep it running all night with no issue. nice and quiet, 3 different speeds. has a timer up to 8hrs which I've yet to use. Handy little remote, well worth the money!

Received a broken fan which had dead spiders on the base which was crumbling and the item seemed used. Tried to put it together and realised that the fan bolt doesn't screw in and the fan grill is completely snapped. I don't fancy being decapitated any time soon. Tried to exchange it but because its a 3rd party its non exchangeable and the price has gone up so would need to cough up the extra. I wouldn't recommend purchasing this fan!
