While this might provide some extra protection from scratching, it is difficult to install and feels terrible in your hand while holding a bare phone. It provides extra grip but you can feel the edges of the vinyl. I plan on installing this inside a case so this is not a big issue for me. Do not buy this if you are OCD, it took me at least an hour to install. The solution spray I received smells like mildew. My phone and hands now stink. The worst part of installing this was figuring out how/where all the side pieces go. You can only install one piece at a time waiting about 5 minutes for each to stick properly before moving on to the next piece. The back skin was easier but despite having a clean work surface, clean hands, and a meticulously clean phone I still ended up with specks of dust under the vinyl. I was able to remove them using dust removal tape but it doesn't look like the vinyl is going to fully recover. I'd say it's self-healing up to a point only after it is perfectly installed.Is it worth protecting from scratches? I'd say yes because I already had three very small scratches using this inside a case very small scratches after 1 week inside a good quality case.

Impossible install product. Throwing in garbage.Multi_day install for cheap plastic. Keeping my thin case and throwing this. How much can you pay for bs marketing.
