No Regerts. Not even a letter.

Wish I would have purchased years ago. I used a Telex 850 for 8 years in a Dash-8. One of the ear buds stopped working 2-3 years into it, but I usually left a cup off one side anyways so it didn’t bother me. I considered buying another set of those, but thought I would give the Bluetooth capable Pro-X2 a shot as I’m on the Bus now and like the idea of throwing on a podcast on some of the longer flights (jumpseating only of course..). Love the sound and build quality. Buy with confidence.

decent

first of all, perfect shipment by the seller. exactly on time despite my tight schedule.the headset on the other hand, works well as asvertised. I would like to add; the pads are rotating free when you tilt your head up and down. would be better if there had been a silicone or other non slip material between the unit and earpads.other than that, great product.

The ANR is useless because of the built in "white noise" hiss.

Sorry. I gave these a second chance and they don't cut it. I have the Bose A20 and was tired of taking up too much flight-bag space. The DCs are lighter and much smaller. I am on an A321 and the Bose makes the plane whisper quiet. With the DCs, I can't even tell they are ANR. As soon as you turn them on, there is an annoying electronic hiss that is almost as loud as the cockpit fans. It almost completely negates the ANR function. This is the SECOND pair of these I have tried. They BOTH have the bad white noise hiss. I'M DONE. Sorry DC but you missed it with these. I'd rather just put in ear plugs with the ships set... Back to the Bose.IMHO, if you want the DC save the money and get the non ANR version of this and save a couple hundred bucks. It's a nice little light headset, my only gripe is with the lacking quality of the ANR.

Great headset

I use it on the Airbus 320. Very comfortable and the noise reduction is very noticeable. Battery life is still going strong after approx 5 4 day trips.I was bothered by the green light blinking on and off but if you hold the Bluetooth button and the power simultaneously for a few seconds it stops blinking.

Great, but one fatal flaw

First off, Marv Golden is the best with aviation products. I had the headset delivered in a day-and-a-half. As for the headset itself, a bit of context: I'm a new Airbus pilot and got out of the military 7 months ago. Thanks to Army helicopters, my hearing is not the best. I had been using the ship headsets (Telex), but constantly struggled to make out radio calls. I sometimes missed them and really had to focus on what was being said to understand and comply. Above 18,000, per the status quo, I took off the headset and used the hand mic and loudspeaker. I could hear that ok, but had to turn up the loudspeaker quite a bit. On climb out and descent, I was constantly adjusting the volumes to get the right blend between the intercom and ATC. And after a long day of flying, my already bad tinnitus was always much worse, and I felt like I had sound fatigue -- a term that I just made up, but I'm sure you get the drift. I did far too much research in my efforts to find a good headset -- I could not decide between the Bose Proflight 2's and the DC Pro X2. My friend, also an Airbus pilot, uses the Proflight and loves them. I tried his on, and although I found the earbud design to be comfortable, the headset band clamping down on the side of my head was not ideal. I tried on the Pro X2 and really found it to be much more comfortable, so I bought it.First off, it truly is so so comfortable. The cups are very soft and the headband is perfect. The noise canceling is exactly what I was looking for as well -- it's spot on for the Airbus. With the Telex, I had my volume levels almost all the way up. With the Pro X2, I have them all the way down, and even sometimes have to lower the volume one level on the headset itself. Not only do I no longer miss radio calls, if the person I'm flying with doesn't have their own headset, I often clarify ATC instructions to them. It's a godsend. I never have to play with finding the right blend of intercom and radio volumes anymore at all. The case is perfect as well -- it takes me seconds to pack the headset up and launch it into my flight bag when I land am in a hurry to catch the crew van to the hotel. I also have found that the noise canceling isn't so strong that I can't hear what a ramper says to me in the cockpit prior to pushback. It even works well if your pilot compadre goes off headset above 18,000, as long as they don't turn their loudspeaker up too much. I don't find that I need to remove one ear-cup to talk or anything like that -- it's really not a problem. The headset is wonderful! There is one, tragic flaw though I am sorry to say, which you will hear echoed on other reviews. The ear-cups spin freely. This makes the headset, no matter how hard you clamp it down on your head, always rotate back and forward with your head when you look up and down. It rarely actually comes off, but it always feels like it's about to. Because of this, I find that I'm constantly trying to find a sweet spot where they won't move, which I have yet to get. I'm sure there is a way I will be able to tweek the headset so this stops happening, but it is annoying to have to do something like that with an expensive piece of equipment right out of the box. I am still glad I made this purchase and did not get the Proflight, but.... It does seem like the kind of thing that somebody should have noticed in testing. From other reviews, I know that I am not the first person to have this complaint / issue. I did email David Clark to ask them about it, but they never responded. This review was written during the COVID crisis though, and that maybe the reason.
