They're a little hard to install but useful.. You'll need a pair of pliers to merge (lock) the pieces together. MAKE SURE they're in the screen before merging, or it'll a useless piece.I think I may purchase another pack for more screens

These replaced the 30 year old plastic versions that snapped off when the plastic aged. They fit perfectly in my 3/8" thick aluminum frames. Because they're made of metal, rather than plastic, I imagine they won't age from UV and weather as the plastic originals did. The black caps snapped on easily (and securely) with the assistance of a pair of Channel Lock pliars. The caps won't press on easily with just finger pressure, which is necessary so they don't pop off just as easily. These are better made than the originals they replaced.

We received the product, but it had 4 of the 6 springs needed . We returned the product and it was replaced. The product received had 4 springs, still missing 2. The manufacturer is misrepresenting the product as having 6 spring loaded plungers.

I purchased the screen bolts to replace broken ones. Since I already had the holes bored in the screen, this was a very simple installation. It takes a bit of muscle to snap the cap in place, but that was the most difficult part.No more screens moving around and making noise when the wind blows.

I had to fix a bunch of screens in a rental house and replaced the pins that were old and broken with these. They look great and were super easy to install. I had one break when putting the screen back in the window so that is the reason for four stars but only one broke out of two packs so - not too bad.

I was surprised at the easy fit. Made of aluminum it will last way longer than the plastic ones that broke off. I am going to replace all the others in the house with this product, broken or not. The end cap snapped on tightly. No fussing with making it fit.

Not the happiest with the plastic knob, but they feel sturdy, were easy to install, and now I can use my screen that has been out of commission since the plastic ones broke apart.

This was the only retaining pin I could find for my screens. Even though the tip was longer than the original, I was able to shorten it with my metal grinder.

Just received and they do not fit. So disappointed. Have older screens. The lock head is too big so I need 7/32 drill bit, which i do not have so must go buy. Ugh! Hopefully do not ruin the frame as Im not a pro driller.They do appear strong tho, but the cap seems cheap. We shall see.
