Well worth the money and is beyond bright.
I bought these as the outside lights of my house were really dull and partly hidden behind a beam so lighting was shoddy at best every time I went outside. It is extremely dark outside at night and with my old light you could barely see anything. With the new lights it is literally night and day. The first one synced up with no problems I should have done both at the same time but I did not so it took turning on and off and restarting the phone once to get the second one to flash and sync but once they were programmed worked and respond great to commands. have had no problems since with any connectivity or problems with the app. The app is great it was easy to install worked great was non invasive (I've had apps for lights that I've bought at walmart and amazon want access to your location, gmail, phone contacts, etc that were way beyond the need for the device to work). This device has no scenes or automations, does NOT works with Smartlife, Smart Things, or Google Assistant. I cannot speak for Alexa as I do not have one or want one. I was able to schedule a daily on and off today and will see if will work but was not that hard. This light only goes from Soft Yellow (like Candlelight) to harsh Blue. The yellow is surprisingly bright for how soft it is but the blue is so bright while I leave the brightness at 100% the blue temperature I leave in the 86-88% range otherwise for me it is to harsh. Would highly recommend to anyone, would and WILL buy again and it would be really cool to see if this company offers a RGB LED version of this with mood scenes and lighting effects. Will post some video soon

Work. Needs no hub. Very easy to set up and dependable. Plug and Play.
Like most smart appliances and lightimg these operate solely on 2.4 ghz. However I have xfi broadband which broadcast both 2.4 as well as 5 ghz. (also the new 6 G but that is not in play here) so no need to play around inside the modem/router swutching bands. Screw in the bulb, it blinks a few times and it sets itself up to the wi fi as well as Alexa. Only way it could be easier. is if it named itself to whatever you wanted and Geeni Smart Bulb blah blah wont help if you have several to identify where it is. UNLIKE others in the house in the event of a electrical blip or outage and the wifi goes down you wont spend days digging around trying to set everything back up. Even those that SAY they dont need a hub, I am 72 y/o and use a cane and ocasionally a scooter and my wife uses a wheelchair to get around. Alexa runs my house Its a big deal that things work. I have so far 6 of these bulbs outside in the weather a couple a ways from the router and they switch on at sundown and off at sun up automatically (set up in the app by zip) and always work. Power goes down and the gen starts up they still come on. If the internet is down they wont go off at the proper time however. Others need to be turned on or off manually. Plus have to be reset and set up again. I am too old and crabby for that. I am quite impressed with this company's technology compared to others. I have no stake in it in any way, just an old retired engineer that like things that work and want to toss as far away junk that dont. In time I plan to change all my lights inside and out. Right now I have mix of brands, most seem to be more minus than plus. I needed 2 exterior floods and these were the only ones I could find. I put them in and a year later, i've never needed to mess with them. added 2 more. Same so far. Adding 2 more. I have 2 elderly Pitbull Prince anf Princess that dont like a dark backyard. Like me maybe they dont see as well anymore. I give them 4 stars for brightness as maybe they could be brighter, but that is the nature of LED and is adjustable. Very bright up close but drop off quickly. I dont use them with a motion detecter but probably work fine. So far I can only speak for the PAR38. But I have little doubt the others subject to less hostle elements and stronger signal will work as well.

Best brand smart bulbs
I have tried many different branded smart bulbs and Geeni works the best. Easy set-up, can be controlled via the app or Alexa. These are mounted high on a garage so I needed something I wouldn't have to grab the ladder every time they need resetting, grown to trust the brand so it was simple. Installed 3 weeks ago and zero issues, even after a power outage. The temperature and brightness can be adjusted, add times, ect. Just great!
