I'm no stranger to shoe shine kits, retired army. The size of the brush is fine . Only wish it came it a little case or something, but this zip lock bag will do fine. With any wax shoe polish it will get on your hands so you should wear a glove because the applicator brush is attached to the buffing brush. I recommend if you need a small kit for a couple time a month use.

Having served in the military, I’m very familiar with Kiwi products. The containers of polish were smaller than I’ve ever seen. The brush is effective though undersized, but guaranteed to stain my hands. One side is the applicator brush, the other side is the buffing brush. Cannot avoid getting plenty of polish on my hands. Unless you wear gloves, which I never had to do in the Army. But… this two-sided brush is just not practical. See pic. Gloves are mandatory.

The polish is great. The old cans had a turn device to open the lid. It's not easy to open. The old applicators were sponges that applied the polish evenly. I'm not really sure what the round brush is best for. I'll continue to use my old brush that's 50 years old and still works well.
