A very important tool
This really is helpful to my novice plastering. It easily provides a very good finish. BUT, I am speculating here, because of the flexible nature of this blade, I think this is not the right tool for establishing a flat surface on a plaster wall for the thick layers. On a finish coat where a thin layer is applied, it is fine, but for thick brown or scratch coats I had trouble flattening,,,, the problems though were kind of subtle. I think for the thicker base coats that I should have used a darby.......... I am not an experienced plasterer, so my diagnosis may be off,,,,, but maybe not.....
