Product appears to be well build with a rugged braid cable and metal constructions and have been tested with Samsung Galaxy A53 and Google Pixel 3aXL. For both phone, the charger was able to output the headphone signal and charge at the same time. The output from the headphone adapter is noticably louder than the built-in headphone jack for the Pixel 3aXL (A53 did not have a jack).One issue is that if you plug the usb cable in, the playback will suddenly pause. Sometimes, when you play it back, it will play it out of the speaker for a few seconds until it gets eventually routed to the headphone. Note that it appears that not every device support pass through charging and headphone output, so I am letting everyone know that it works for Pixel 3aXL and Galaxy A53.One issue I notice is when I plug in the power or headphone, there may be a lag in the phone detecting the headphone, so the phone may play a second or so before it switches over to the headphones. This appears to be a limitation of android rather than the device, but you may want to turn down the volume initially so not to bother other people until the headphone kicks in.

Edit 01/16/23: I should have given it a couple of days to see if I could tweak it a bit. Adding 2 Stars. I was just so disappointed at how bad it sounded at first so I immediately rated it.So I went in to the more advanced audio settings and tried a few things. I got it so the music sounded pretty good. The voices still echoed and didn't sound right, but I was happy for the music option. The next night, I went to use it again and checked out a few vids and lo and behold, the voices came through fine! I don't know why it suddenly worked. It sounds good.The only things keeping it from a 5 Star rating, is that for some reason, I can't turn on the UHQ upscaler to enhance the sound even though my earbuds are plugged into the adapter so its wired in. The other thing is that it will just randomly drop the audio. I just have to unplug the adapter from my phone and plug it back in to get it to work again. So overall, I'm happy about it and am able to use it on my phone.I was so excited to get this! I recently got a Samsung Galaxy A53 phone and of course it doesn't have a headphone jack. I like to listen to music at night as it helps me sleep and masks the ringing in my ears. I was concerned wireless ear buds wouldn't last the night so this was a great option. Unfortunately, the sound when my ear buds are plugged into this is absolutely terrible. Its distorted and doesn't sound right. It sounds fine through my old phone and my Kindle Fire, but plugged into this ...not so much.I tried YouTube and TikTok and it sounded bad on both. There were a few vids on YouTube that were ok, but many of my favorites did not sound good. I sometimes listen to music with affirmations while I sleep, but the music came through too loud and the voice was echo'y. I couldn't even understand it most of the time. Same on TikTok. Music loud and sometimes couldn't even hear the voice ...it was fine when plugged directly through my Kindle...not fine on my phone through the adapter. I even tried changing the volume/audio settings in my phone to see if that would help. No go.I am so incredibly disappointed! I can listen to music at night through my Kindle, but I would rather use my phone as its less cumbersome. Love the concept and design but don't love the sound quality.

I've read several negative reviews in regards to this product. It worked flawlessly for me the moment I connected it. I find it frustrating to buy a new phone or tablet and not have a aux port ! Some people still rely on that port including me! This type c splitter is an adequate work around so you can charge your phone or tablet and use the audio simultaneously. I'm using a Samsung tab s5e and before connecting it I was concerned that it might not charge as efficiently as the charger my tablet came with . it charges just as good! My advice is the try it out and see if it works with your device. If not just return it!

This item worked great for a couple of weeks, and then something went wrong. At that point phone conversations on my wired headset became impossible, and audio output might work for a few minutes before it would quit. I returned this for a refund. Considering that this has some internal circuitry to handle the audio and power functions, I recommend that you look for a device that has a little more bulk. This item was conveniently compact, but it probably wasn't able to handle all of the functions--particularly the heat that results from fast charging.

The cord worked great initially, but no longer charged my phone after about 3 months. I sleep while listening to music, so I may be a bit more rough on the cord than others are, but yeah, it didn't last nearly as long as I figured it would have. Also, the sound quality was poor at low volume. The sound would completely drop out when the whatever track I was listening to became to quite, almost like a fade out and fade in.
