Frankenstein: or `The Modern Prometheus': The 1818 Text (Oxford World's Classics) Paperback – January 1, 2020

I do prefer other editions' annotations, Oxford seems to use theirs most to liberally advertise their dictionary; however, the accompanying essays and historical information are quality. This is a good edition for the first time reading the text.

I had to read this book in high school and always heard about Frankenstein but always the children friendly version with the electricity and big hair.Its nice to read the origin of the story and although its more dark I actually loved the book.Which is rare for me to like an assigned book.

This edition is probably very good for students but for me it's really verbose. The story, author and culture behind the story are all analyzed about to death. I'm actually just getting to the story and skipped some of the intro analysis.

Once it gets going it is hard to put down. Would recommend this to anyone who is interested in reading or supernatural stuff. Hard to put down at times.

Great features such as history, timeilines and background. Print is a little smaller than I would like
