Messermeister Pro-Touch Large Fluted Pastry Wheel

Read the reviews, and ordered anyway because it was hard for me to imagine a poor product from them. Initially, I could see why so many ppl mentioned the seeming instability of it. But when I actually used it, it performed great, which is what matters to me.

It works, what more is there to say

I like this fluted pastry wheel...it's large wheel is efficient, the handle is comfortable, the price was right...but I felt the wheel could be sharper as while it cuts pastry when I tried to use it to make pasties and needed to cut around the rim of an inverted bowl to make a perfectly round 6" circle...while it cut it didn't do so neatly leaving pieces that needed to be torn away by hand...despite using uniform pressure. Still of you plan to do nothing more than cut in a straight line it's fine...and the price is right.

I love this Pastry Wheel! It is light in weight and the handle is perfect when gripped. It works great and excellently when I use it for my top "fluted, criss-crossed" home made pie crusts. I highly recommend this Pastry Wheel for anyone to use and purchase.

Easy to use and always good results. This was purchased to replace one that was over 70 years old. It was a regular kitchen tool in most kitchens in earlier times when people did their own baking. I was unable to find one in my local stores and, as usual, I found it right away by going to Amazon. Nicely made and a good value.

I love to use this on anything baking that you would regularly use a knife on. It works for pie crusts, ravioli, short bread cookies, graham crackers, etc. It's a great way to up the presentation value your baking endeavors. I like the rubber handle means it can be washed in the dishwasher (though I like the look of the wooden handled ones more, the convenience factor wins here). Very handy tool. It just felt that the wheel was a bit loose, but perhaps that is how it needs to be to work easily. I made apricot horn cookies for a wddding and it made them look lovely. Very glad I bought it and I will use it again!

Had a smallish Tupperware pastry wheel which I misplaced. That one made nice, very noticeable "V's" in the lattice strips of my pie crusts. This one, not quite as good, but I know I'm just being picky. Does what it's supposed to do, and is easy to clean.

I used it for cutting pie pastry to make a lattice top pie. It was a little flimsy for cutting, but worked well enough for what I needed. However, after the pie baked, the zig zags in the pastry totally disappeared. Not the fault of the cutting wheel, but I could have easily cut with a knife and had the same effect.

not that sharp of a blade. I used it to make ravioli and I had to press into it harder than I should have to to cut my very thin pasta dough. but it did the trick

Not bad but the wheel is wobbly, doesn’t leave the best fluted cut.

Not well made somewhat flimsy

I have other Messermeister tools which are high quality. This tool is junk. The blade wobbles and is too loose. Sadly a waste of money.
