Everyone should have this tool around....
I'm the kind of person that always carries a pocket knife around with me. There are so many uses for having it. Next to that is this product. I keep one around the house and one in my RV/Trailer. There always seems to be a need for a screwdriver kit, but a lack of space to keep them around. Also, it's nice to have around without the need to pull out your full screwdriver kit. This product solves this problem. Not only do you have multiple types of tips, it contains even obscure ones that are always needed on my trailer. Also, you can extend/retract the size for different uses, This tool has been far more useful than I initially thought and is highly considering purchasing another one for my vehicles, which already has a robust tool kit. So far I have not had any issue with the build quality, but also note I have not used it other than to drive screws. I don't use it for leverage (read: used to pry things) or the like. I do not believe this product is intended to be used in such a way. For such a tool, I would have thought this product would be expensive, but it is incredibly inexpensive.Overall, this is a good product for everyday uses that require a screwdriver. Although (I believe) this is not intended for heavy use, this tool is incredibly useful for everyday needs. I would recommend.

Great screwdriver
Really loved this screwdriver. I did drop it from 10 feet and the back opened and lost a bit but I never really worry about the back accidently opening. As an electrician I'm constantly changing bits and crawling around with it in my pocket and never had an issue since. I liked this way better than the typical multi bit screwdrivers except for not having the 5/16th hex head. (Yes I could just carry a bit to use when needed though, but....) If it wasn't for that I could easily see myself using this as a one and done screwdriver. I still love it and have a hard time not reaching for it but as an electrician the heavy duty multibit is the way to go for me at least. Great price, great adjustability, great functionality, I like it so much except for that one personal issue of no 5/16th hex head option.

Technology
The tool kit, size, tool size, ease of use. Functionality. The build quality was good. The value for my money was great. My husband does maintenance and this tool has helped him a lot.

Right features and feels good to use
Updating my review. After using this screwdriver for many months I've gotten to know it's strengths, limitations and areas for improvement. It's still the only screwdriver I need for 75% of what I need to do. The magnetic bit holder is strong and holds screws well. You don't know how much you rely on the magnetic tip until you use a screwdriver that doesn't have it. I deal with a lot of electronics, which have tiny screws, so I have a set of jeweler's screwdrivers for those. But for everyday use, this is the only screwdriver I need.Room for improvement:1. The cap is very delicate. The driver rolled off my workbench and onto the concrete floor and landed on the cap, which broke into 3 pieces and left the sharp, broken bit holder mechanism sticking out. The mechanism the slides the bits in and out of the handle is anchored in the cap. The driver was now pretty much unusable. One drop onto the cap was all it took. That stinks. Of course, I bought another one to replace it but still, poor design there.2. The little fingers that hold the bits get loose after a few months and don't grip the bits tightly anymore. So, when you pull out the cap to access the bits, the bits fly out of their little pockets and all over the place.3. The rubberized grip gets loose over time. I think eventually it will loosen to the point where you have to grab the driver extra-firmly to keep the rubber grip from just rotating around the handle. But, the cap broke on my original driver before I could see if my theory was correct. So now I'm starting the clock over with the replacement I bought.I think if Klein addressed these things, this would be the perfect multi-bit driver.Combine the whole lotta magnetic bits stored in the handle with with the adjustable length shaft with the great grip and you get an all in one screwdriver that does it all and is easy to use. It uses standard, 6-sided hex bits, so you aren't limited to what comes with the screwdriver (which is a nice assortment to begin with). Time will tell how long the rubber overmolding on the handle lasts. That seems to be a gamble, no matter what tool you buy or how much you pay for it.People that use a multi-bit screwdriver like this for prying boards out of the floor, or punching holes in things are using them incorrectly. Then they complain when it breaks. If a screw is so stuck that you have to clamp a vise grip to the screwdriver for leverage, you really shouldn't be using a multi bit screwdriver, you should be using a giant slotted or Philips normal screwdriver. Correct tool for the job. For general around the house/around the shop use this thing should theoretically last forever. I just got rid of a 25-year old Craftsman multi bit that the handle had completely rotted away. Bought this to replace it.For the price, this Klein multibit screwdriver is a steal. Highly recommended.

I love this screwdriver
I like to think of myself as a bit of a handyman, but it can be hard to keep all my tools easily accessible when packed in storage in a tight apartment. And even if that's not the case, who really wants to bring a whole box of bits if they don't have to?This screwdriver feels great, locks securely, and keeps a good selection of bits right in the palm of your hand. Not enough to take care of everything you might run into, but good enough for 80% of the small jobs I've run into. I got one for my dad. I got one for my partner's dad. I don't think I've felt this passionately about a small tool since the Morakniv. Just a great little piece of quality engineering.
