BESTEK 400A Peak Current Car Jump Starter with 8000mAh Battery Charger

I don't usually write reviews, but this product is well worth one. I received the charger on Friday. Once removing the unit from its box I immediately plugged it in to charge. The full charge took about 2.5 hours which was signaled by 4 LEDs on its front.. On Saturday my friend left my radio on without the engine running while sitting in the car. So for the first time ever I was actually excited my battery died because now I got to use my new toy. I popped the hood, plunged the cables into the charger body and attached the clamps to the positive and negative nodes. Upon creating a full circuit with the battery a red light located on what I believe is the converter box turned green letting you know that a full circuit in fact had been created. After that, I jumped in my car and the engine turned over first try. Granted my battery wasn't EXTREMELY dead, it still worked amazing well. I then put everything back in the nice box it came in and threw it back in my glove compartment.

Great product, just had to use it and that started right up. Battery had dropped down to 11.4volts so it was close to the required 12.5 to start. Still, it worked to crank the car and I was able to drive the car without having to wait for a jump start late at night.

The only time I needed it, it didn't work. Maybe the charge was too low, but it was above halfway which is what the booklet says is required. I've never used it as a phone charger but it probably works fine as one.

I don't think this thing actually works at all but found out too late after the thirty day mark.
