Please don't waste your $40 on this mess
While the band and music are great, the item itself is pretty horrible. Upon opening the package, I realized received a clear vinyl, while the other reviews had stated and shown it was white, which is fairly disappointing since i was hoping for the solid white one. (And like all the other reviews, this one also had the black marks and weird spots) "Well at least you still have the music right?" is what you might say to me, and I would normally agree with you. But this vinyl just sounds god awful. Its warped, has this weird background static, and had several scratches which didn't allow me to enjoy this at all. Please consider buying this off the official band's website or from a different seller.

Definitely worth the money
Its seller being the actual band itself, this is definitely a product of high quality. The way The 1975 portrays their music goes beyond the range of alternative rock. This product is very easy to use. Now if you are just starting out your collection of vinyl records, it good to research ways on how to take care of them. There are certain things to consider buying in order to clean the records or storage boxes to store them properly. With that in mind, proper caring for the records will definitely help in prolonging the life expectancy and quality of this product. There is a certain dynamic range in the artists voices that can be heard through records but not digitally. The idea of losing yourself through music and not being able to pause the song gets to me. You listen to the record because you want to, not because you forced yourself. Being able to physically hold the things that you like gives more meaning to it. Collecting records are really fun, though it may cost more than regular CD’s today. Just the whole maintenance behind it is a huge disadvantage.Generally, vinyl records are definitely worth the money if you are a type of person who enjoys them. Don’t force yourself into liking this media of music to fit in, because if you do, you’re certainly just wasting money on something that doesn’t make you happy.

Transcendent and revolutionary
While The 1975's first release was great, it was a considerably more standard pop album. This flow and feel of this, strangely, still *sounds* like The 1975, but it's everything but standard. I do think that this CD, for some people, might land firmly in the camp of "requiring multiple listens" to warm up to, but if that is the case, then multiple listens you should give it! As long as you listen with open ears and a hungry heart, you'll undoubtedly find something to love about this release.

Funky and Ethereal
Two stars for the packing job - CD case was delivered all cracked up. Anyway, product preview...Comparing this to The 1975's first album is like comparing apples to oranges. The first album has more of a puritan sound with clean vocals and instrumentals with some synth thrown in occasionally. This second album is very "digital." Vocal effects and electronic, ethereal sounds galore. There are a couple acoustic songs on this which are very nice. Regarding favoritism, I am inclined to lean towards the cleaner, more jazzy first album. The second one has its own mesmerizing jive though. After listening to this on Spotify several times, I decided it was worth buying - it's a great road-trip album.

This album is lovely and the vinyl sounds fantastic. You get two free downloads if you get the AutoRip from Amazon. The 1975 has a download code bundled in the album also, if you need another digital copy for some reason.

Meh... not their best album
My daughter and I seem to have similar favorite songs by these guys... but none of them are on this album. Listen, if it goes on sale, becomes a $5 album at some point, take a flyer. For full price, though... meh. Give it a listen, but don't expect to be blown away. It's not a bad album. I'm not underwhelmed... just whelmed.

Buy It Only if You Like Great Music
I came a bit late, and a bit haphazardly, to The 1975. I had the debut album for a year before I really dove into it, and discovered album cuts that were just fantastic as the singles they released. It's rare that a first album is that deep (though an asterisk should be there, as there were EP's to test drive the material), but they pulled it off. This album is just as good. That's in spite of me not digging UGH and Love Me upon first listen (they grew on me). Then The Sound came out, and I pre-ordered it a couple of listens later. I have no idea which single will be next, but it would be great if it were Paris, a up-tempo and lively song about...going to Paris. Following it directly on the tracklist is Nana, about Matt Healy's grandmother according to NME (and which has a hypnotic bass tone to it). His singing remains somewhat opaque, by design one hopes. He doesn't sound like early Michael Stipe (REM ), but the effect is the same. He's building an ambiance rather than reciting poetry to music. The music, as on the eponymous debut, is fantastic and meshes well with Healy's vocals. It's more than a bit tempting to compare The 1975 to Oasis (great songwriting, a unique-ish singer, two standout albums to start with). Let's hope that's where the comparison ends.Five stars in a walk.

I've gotten more and more into the 1975 over the last year or so. I'd listened to and really enjoyed a few songs on this album since its release (especially "the sound") but hadn't gotten round to listening to the whole thing. Needless to say I was kicking myself when I did eventually give the full album a listen, as it is an excellent example of top quality, unique music. The transition between tracks flows beautifully, although personally I prefer the faster paced tracks on the album, the use of slower, more delecat songs really compliment the overall quality of the experience. The only slight downside for me was the lack of lyrics in a few of the songs. This doesn't necessarily make the songs bad, but the 1975 have such a great way with words & creating powerful lyrics that it almost feels like a waste for them to produce instrumental only songs. My top 3 songs of the album:1) The sound2) She's American3) Paris

Rearranging my World.
This album reinforces The 1975’s moody and capricious nature as it still diverges from their established 80s pop and funk beats on their debut. They’ve experimented with happier songs and it’s paid off a lot. Simpler tones that become more effective with their darker, more depressing lyrics which have the feeling of being more bittersweet than sad. Vocals from Healy are on-point with the other band members getting a look in. It’s sad, happy, heavily disclosing, hugely effective on subtext and melodious.

Heartfelt and brutally honest soundtrack to the substance lacking and abusing London party scene, and the relationships it makes
A lot of great songs... but they got a bit too indulgent with quite a lot of filler tracks of random noises and synth drums, which makes it a hard CD to just stick on as you need to frequently skip past the weirdo tracks to get to the good stuff.

10/10
my friend got me into the 1975 and i thank her constantly for it. these four lads have such a unique sound and you can never get tired of their music. i constantly have this album on repeat and i love every aspect of it. from adam hann's solo in the sound to the soft lullaby melody of nana to the funky beats in she's american, this album and band never disappoints!although if you're buying this for a child under 15 i suggest you listen to the album and decide if it's suitable first. matty healy is a great writer but he likes to talk about sex and he swears continuously. but i guess that's just matty healy at his finest.

Obsessed!
Honestly, I kinda gave up hope the first time I listened to this album. I am such a huge fan of the debut album and EPs and just felt that this album is so different from how they sound. But it quickly grew on me and now I'm obsessed with it just like any of their previous songs and actually regretted that I turned my back on them for a second. For me, The 1975 is truly one of the unique bands out there right now.

Honest and unmerciful
I absolutely love this album. Matty's a brilliant lyricist and the tunes, even though some are more experimental, have the upbeat tempo that i fell in love with listening to their first album. It's a very honest portrayal of a man's view and reflections on his own existence. It's endearing and yoi can't help but love him and his music.
