Dubia Roaches 500 Large

I've ordered Lrg Dubia from a dozen suppliers, spend on average $150 a month on Lrg Dubia & these are by FAR the largest Lrg I've ever received from an Amazon supplier. My Beardie absolutely loves em and I've separated @ 100 for breeding due to them being large enough. I will "not" shop anywhere else from here on out. These Lrg Dubia are exactly what I ordered and all were live upon arrival. THANK YOU SO MUCH TAKING PRIDE IN WHAT YOU DO......BECAUSE OF THE QUALITY AND ACCURATE SIZE I WILL BE TELLING ALL MY FELLOW REPTILE HOBBYISTS MY VERY POSITIVE EXPERIENCE.

I never leave reviews but I've been getting ripped off on these lately so I'm impressed & I guess I had low expectations.so you get far more then 500 I'd guess 600+ a lot of mediums but mainly decent size & a bunch of jumbo so I well definitely be buying from for awhile.that being said I fell for you if you have a aversion to handling these as when you open the inner box well..standbye because mine were definitely alive & well because they came bursting out.kinda like getting a package from a enemy if you had a roach phobia

Packed very well. Very few DOA.

Pros:1. The box of roaches arrived on a very timely basis. All, except one or two that had gotten smushed, were quite alive.2. The size of these roaches (we ordered large) was FANTASTIC !!! SO much LARGER than ANY we'd gotten from other sellers, as well as from our local reptile store.3. In the box with the roaches was cardboard, shaped egg-carton-like, giving the roaches plenty of hiding spots for them to stay while in transit. It also made it a bit easier to control how fast we needed to capture them when getting them from the box and into a couple of critter keepers.Cons:Really, the only con was that we didn't realize that the roaches would arrive essentially loose in a box, contained within the shipping box, which was rather securely taped up. So we opened up the shipping box, and found another box inside, and then opened that box, and some of the roaches immediately started trying to escape. We had ordered 500 roaches, so as you can guess, we did not want 500 roaches running around our house. We quickly closed the box back up, went into the bathroom, and then opened the box up in the tub. The roaches that did escape the box couldn't climb up the sides of the tub, so we had time to capture them and put them in the critter keepers.Overall, a very good deal, and will order again when needed from this buyer.

I stopped counting at 500, but there were what I would guess to be about 50 or 60 extras. Size was accurate. They arrived early. I Highly recommend!

Dubia came in 2 cardboard boxes inside of a large FedEx Pak envelope with airholes poked into the plastic. Each box had egg carton in it to stabilize the dubia during shipping. I ordered 500 large and received 510 good sized dubia with 1 DOA. I appreciated that Animal Specialties used 2nd day shipping (which turned into 3 days with shipping delays) so all the dubia arrived very healthy.There were a few small ant hitch hikers that were inside of the FedEx bag but they were easily squished. There were 4 or 5 roaches that were outside the cardboard boxes but inside the FedEx bag so be careful when you're opening the FedEx bag. The 1 DOA had been squished, probably during shipping.

I ordered medium roaches for this company in the past so I thought I would order again but these time order large. There was NO difference in the mediums and larges except the cost. The large roaches even seemed smaller. And I definitely did not like that they were LOOSE in the box when we received them. It is kinda hard to get 500 roaches into a different container when they are just everywhere. I would not suggest this company based on these two factors.

Good packaging and they arrived alive. Would buy again.
