Includes a perpetual licence for DaVinci Resolve Studio.
This arrives in a nicely printed box measuring approx 31cm x 20cm x 7.5cm.Inside the box, well protected in a polystyrene shaped bed with a decent layer of foam over the top, you will find your Speed editor, a great quality USB-C to C cable, a couple of brand stickers, a small piece of card with instructions to download the instruction manual and a card with your perpetual licence key for DaVinci Resolve Studio. The editor itself is fantastic and has slipped into my workflow easily making the main work on the edit page faster on a Bluetooth connection that is solid as they come.I did have to plug it in when it arrived to charge it (which you can do with the included cable) and I chose to rename it but apart from that, I've been using it for over 20 hours without needing to recharge and the battery is still showing it's got more than 50% charge. The second you look at this bit of gear, you just know it's a really decent bit of kit.It screams quality and robustness in a way most consumer gear rarely does. This is a little workhorse that is expected to get hard use for years and keep on going.I love the clicky buttons and the incredibly sensitive wheel, and for me the only thing I would change would be to have the chance to swap out the multi cam buttons section for other tools as I don't really have much use for those.I have it set up for now with a stream deck for other shortcut buttons I frequently use, but this little beauty is worth every penny even if I can't get a custom skin for it (I'd prefer a white version, or a choice for coloured caps)What blew me away though, was the included licence for the paid version of DaVinci Resolve. If you buy one alone, at the moment it costs approx £235 to buy the studio licence which means this little gem works out at not much more than £100 on top.Your licence key is on a plastic credit card sized rectangle that you need to keep securely. You can install 2 copies of the software and activate them, but only use one at a time.I have one installed on Mac, one on PC, both installs were simple.I have had weeks of hassle in the past trying to unlock software when a computer died on me and I had licences trapped on it.With this, if you activate it on a 3rd computer, it immediately auto deactivates the previous 2.You'd have to reactivate on your other working computer but I think it's a much simpler thing to do than begging the company to deactivate your dead licence. If you have been using the free version of Resolve and are considering upgrading to the studio version, get this. You won't regret it.I do wish you could buy a clear cover to sit on top of it though, but nobody seems to make one.I've tracked down a plan for a protective cover which I'm planning on 3d printing myself which won't be clear, but it's a shame Blackmagic Design don't produce them.

Great device and good value for full Resolve Studio
Just started to use this with Resolve Studio 19.1.4 and it's a lovely piece of kit. You can have it beside your normal keyboard (I use a laptop and have this just beside me), and it has made video editing so much easier. The wheel is really good for slightly moving along the timeline, the buttons make cutting, splitting, etc a breeze.A full license to Resolve Studio (worked with 19.x) is included. As others have noted, the license card was also missing from the box for me. I contacted Blackmagic Design via their website, and they were able to supply the license code linked to my product (just give them the serial number). License installs and isn't being used by anyone else.

A Joy to Use
Created by Blackmagicdesign to work exclusively with their DaVinci Resolve video editing software, the Speed Editor is a joy to use. Yes, it’s expensive but it’s a niche product and beautifully engineered.Blackmagic supply studio and post production equipment to television and film studios, and the Speed Editor keyboard is part of that range. As the name suggests it speeds up the editing process, but it also offers far more precision than working with a mouse and conventional keyboard. At the same time, it co-exisits with any existing keyboard so that you can move seamlessly from one to the other according to the task in hand. The keyboard connects via Bluetooth or USB-C cable, and the cable can also be used to charge the internal battery. The keyboard has precision “clicky” keys for the most common video editing operations such as trim, cut and so on, but the best feature is the precision engineered jog/shuttle knob. The knob is a solid piece of metal that floats on ball bearings and there’s a finger recess on the top for controlling the wheel. As mentioned earlier, the Speed Editor works exclusively with the Da Vinci Resolve software but it’s worth adding that the software (DaVinci resolve 17.3 at the time of writing) is free. There is a professional version for around £280, with which you get a free Speed Editor, but only those involved in broadcast or movie production would require the additional facilities.I have used a variety of video editors and DaVinci Resolve is far superior to any paid-for package I’ve used. It is clearly designed by people who know the video business and, combined with the Speed Editor, it makes video editing both intuitive and satisfying.

Came With The Activation Code, Returned!!!!
It did not come with the Activation Card for Davinci Resolve Studio which is the main reason I brought the thing. Also it says USB connectivity but only comes with a USB-C connecter. Very Disappointed, I'd give zero stars if I could!!!

Nice solidly built bit of kit with studio License.
Bought this for editing YouTube videos, and to get the studio licence (which is included). It seems good quality, and seems very well made. The keys feel very nice, and the scroll wheel is a game changer! The studio license on it's own is quite expensive, so you get a nice editing console with the license for not much more!I just need to unlearn how I've been doing things, and learn how to do it with this now.
