I thought it was going to be an overpriced plastic iPad clamp, but it looked like what I needed so I bought it. As it turns out thing is heavy duty, it's probably half metal and half plastic and super solid. Besides the knob that you turn to clamp it to your table (or whatever your clamping to including things that are round...like a pipe or music stand) there is only one other knob that you need to deal with the get the angle and orientation set, which is really nice. Very happy with this product.

Absolutely perfect and sturdy piece, good grip and fit with or without a case as shown in pictures.I use it with a 2018 6th gen iPad on a SPECK Balance case mostly as a remote surface for control of midi instruments or Digital Audio Workstation (DAW) functions.I can angle and set it fast with the screw on the side and you can feel the excelent quality of the different components.Great product

Removing my review completely and updating it. It DOES fit what I needed it to fit, I just had to use the longest prongs it comes with. Very sturdy, very strong. 1 star removed because it looked like it had a normal thread on the bottom of the ball head piece but it doesn't. I had to 3d print my own bracket and glue one in.The only thing I think should've been better other than that is that the piece that connects to the clamp itself is held by a 4 fingered clip. This part bear a large load and is made from a cheap plastic but the rest is great.
