The macro keys and basic function are fine, but changing layers kicks you back to desktop from any application. If you're gaming or video editing or whatever, changing layers (which is the main advantage of this item) will boot you out of your application and back to desktop before it works. Then if you want to get back to your app, be sure to switch back to the desired layer in desktop before tabbing back or you'll have the same problem again.Kinda ruins the whole convenience of the device and of having multiple layers with macros for each app. With no guides or FAQ for this item, and support have ignored all my requests - its probably going to be returned. Shame, but i guess they don't care so neither do i.

I ordered this because I recently broke my left wrist and am temporarily unable to use my left hand. That makes it difficult to execute PC keyboard shortcuts than require more than one key, such as Ctl-C or Ctl-Alt-Delete. The software for the Falcon-20 is pretty intuitive to use. It took a bit of trial and error but I was quickly able to program keys on the to Falcon-20 execute the various multi-keystroke combinations with one key.I also assigned Falcon-20 keys to type commonly used text strings such as my full name, e-mail address, etc. This saves time when filling out internet dialogs.The unit is built solidly. Some of the youtube reviews I watched showed that the bottom was not enclosed, so the circuit board was exposed. The manufacturer must have changed the design because the unit I received is fully enclosed - the circuit board is not exposed.I am pleased with this device and I am sure I will find it useful even after my wrist heals.

I'm a designer using CorelDRAW and AutoCAD and I have been trying this out.It has quirks but I worked them out.The programming is not the same as with a mouse such as Ctrl+Z.You record the key strokes so you end up with:Ctrl @0msZ @0msFor Ctrl+Z and save that.Some keys for some reason don't work for some macros, but its not a worry I just use another key.When I get settled with all the macro commands I'll get some custom keys printed from them.For the price this is great! GET IT!If you're one of these people who are a bit anal, perhaps these minor quirks will not be for you.

Didn't work well at all, and one of the two USB ports was DOA. Software was finicky although build quality was nice. I was disappointed but moved on to a different keyboard that had macro functionality baked in, so I didn't need this anyway. Mind you, this was a year ago (I forgot to review until now) so at least the software may have improved.

Each key and its LED color/intensity is programmable using the app, and the app is use friendly.The programming is saved into the keypad itself, including the layers, so you can just disable the app in the startup menu after programming the keypad.Changing layers will show an OSD which layer you switched into. If you don't want this OSD, close the app from task manager and disable it from the startup menu as well.There's a switch that lets you change which USB port will work, if you want to change to portrait or landscape orientation.Unfortunately, the app display stays in portrait, so programming in landscape can be a little confusing.The switch to change USB port is deep in the housing, so you'll need to switch it with something like a toothpick or small screw driver.3rd party keycaps can be difficult to insert when on landscape orientation, but not impossible and not damaging.Included in the box are two legs for inclining, four silicon caps to cover the screw holes below, and MicroUSB cable.There are four screw holes under the keypad. The two legs are threaded into these holes for inclining.The only thing I think it lacks is a wrist rest. It would be good if there's a wrist rest that can also be screwed into the screw holes.I resorted to getting a mousepad that has wrist rest for this, I'll just put the keypad above the mousepad.
