Q: Why do some reviews state the smell of the spray is different from when buying it in a store or they had to shake the can to get the correct effect?

I have no idea. The spray has very little smell and any odor it has fades immediately. I'm not really sure what is meant by "the correct effect". Is the implication that shaking the can is problematic? Too much trouble? Difficult to perform? Or is that a hint on the best way to use the product. That being said I have found this to be the best hairspray on the market and have been using for at least 10 years. My only complaint is that it is not always easy to find.

Q: Does the hairspray smell floral-like? I have the mousse and it smells great but not sure about the hairspray.

Not sure it's floral, it smells nice though and fresh. I have been using this product for ages and strongly recommend it.
