Retardex Oral Rinse 250ml

Can't find in U.S so had it shipped from Europe. Great stuff. What's wrong with these yanks? Their 'off the shelf' stuff is nowhere near as good.

I initially thought there had been a mix up, and I had been given a bottle with just water in. I sincerely thought factory had made a mistake. It wasn't until I glanced online that i realised: 'It's SUPPOSED to taste like that'.After trying the famous mouthwashes like Listerine over the years, I learnt to brace my taste receptors for something overpowering, like neat whisky. This stuff is really remarkably neutral. (If you want you can use the little sachet included in the box to give it an artificial peppermint flavour, if you can't psychologically handle it)The reviews I have seen online for this are very positive but I was still suspicious.i.e. I thought this might be scam!I have looked in academic journals (e.g. PubMed) - there is laboratory evidence of the efficacy, in peer reviewed journals. In other words, it works well.The bottom line: this is a good product, with a comedy name (if you are childish, like me). All other mouthwashes that I have tried have made me gag, or want to throw up. Or left an aftertaste so unpleasant that I've never wanted to use a mouthwash again.PS - Obviously, it's important to note that this is not a substitute for brushing, but an adjunct. You will severely mess up your mouth if you never brush. (Do you want your teeth to drop out or be minging?)

Has a sachet for adding mint flavour to it, or you can have it original which isn't bad and is quite pleasant.Fresh taste in the mouth is much more pleasant than Corsodyl, and isn't harsh like Listerine, and lasts a long time, with your mouth feeling fresh and clean.Bottle is big, generous sized and a little goes a long way.Used daily, it'll last you a good 6 weeks.Even when you use it, and spit it out, your mouth doesn't feel dry and no disagreeable aftertaste - and it DOES solve bad breath problem, gets rid of Cigarette and strong food taste and smellIt works and works well in my experience, and to be honest it's the BEST mouth wash I've ever used, only downside is the price - it's EXPENSIVE!

This product has comprehensive uses, in that it serves the purpose of having several products in the bathroom, for instance teeth whitening, eliminating bad breath as well as the expected plaque removing qualities. I am bemused as to why there is a separate sachet of flavouring to add to the liquid. I find this a bit quirky, and not essential. This may be a ploy to do with the greater cost than most other products, in that you are getting something extra, something "special", but this does not work for me. Also the instructions as to measure out the mouthwash is rather ridiculous, in that you are supposed to fill part of the inner section of the bottle cap. It is just too fiddly to do, and rather silly.In itself the product is as good as any on the market, but I won't buy it again because of the price.

I have tried all sorts of mouthwashes and have found them either ineffective or so strong that they burn. This one is different in that it comes unflavoured, there is a little peppermint flavour sachet in the box that can be added for taste or left out. I chose to use the flavouring but still thought it mild to use. Another thing that is different is the way it feels in the mouth, it is very smooth and silky and leaves the mouth feeling very fresh. My gums do tend to be sensitive and I had no problems at all using this product also it should last some time as you only need to fill a small inner container in the lid for each use. I would recommend this if you want a mild tasting but effective mouthwash.

At the steep price this mouthwash comes at it is way ahead of any other I have every used. The bottle comes with a sachet to add a little flavour or you can have it without which is a neutral flavour that tastes alright but at the end of the day you are not drinking it.The sachet that comes with it may feel empty but contains about 4 - 5 drops of flavouring.There is no burn in your mouth or heavy flavouring which I think is perfect after just brushing your teeth. Your mouth feels a lot fresher and it does it's job more effectively than any other mouthwash which will last the day.Despite it's price I would defiantly recommend this product.
