Just works! Well Made.
This just works and is well-made. The angle makes it easy to connect to a tripod and still use.My only complaint, which is not their fault, is that using a tripod for binoculars is just hard or impossible when approaching the zenith. Consider lying down without a mount. Or use one that allows the arm to swing parallel to the ground so you can mount and look up. :)Happy veiwingAitborne! Kevin

Built well
This product is very well built. Only4 stars due to the screw that goes into the binocs is a little short but it works. Otherwise it's a good product.

Works as advertised.
I have Celestron 15x70 binoculars which you can use freehand, but for any length of time becomes tedious. Already had a vanguard tripod for my camera which uses the 1/4 20 threaded screw, so this fit perfectly. This setup is extremely portable whenever weather permits, and exceptional for nature and astronomical viewing.

They do what they are designed to do, just not as well as I think they should.
I am disappointed with this item. In comparing it to the other options, it looked like I would be able to clamp it tightly to my binoculars and hold it really well. However, despite having the flat piece, it doesn't allow you to make it tight enough to hold the binoculars firmly. With any movement of the binoculars, they immediately loosen just enough to allow the binoculars to rotate on their own to whichever position gravity prefers instead of the position I prefer. They do allow me to mount the binoculars onto my tripod, but with just my hands, it isn't tight enough. I guess I could use a pair of pliers to try to torque it down tighter, but I'm not wanting to carry another item into the field to make sure my binoculars are firmly attached to the tripod. It is working so poorly that I'm going to buy another style and hope I get a better result. I'm giving them 3 stars because I'm not going to send them back as they do in fact allow a pair of binoculars to attach to my tripod, but they are irritating.

Fits well on a Meade Masterclass 10x56
Okay, I've got my Celestron binocular adapter and here are some pictures on the Meade 10x56.It fits much better, and goes on much easier than my older adapter. The extended thumb turner is far, far easier to attach. The support is narrow enough to shut/close the binoculars all the way, for minimum IPD, even with the standard rubber objective covers still attached. The thumb extender does stick out 4mm beyond the bottom of the objectives, so they won't sit flat with that attached, but the 4mm isn't enough to make them tippy; I just worry about the objectives getting dusty.Curiously enough, there was a nice padded neck strap (pictured) all folded up inside a plastic ziploc stuffed into the box with the binocular adapter. This was definitely not mentioned in the Amazon listing. But I bought a "refurbed" adapter to save $5 (what could go wrong, right?), so I can only guess that whomever returned their product to Amazon accidentally put a neck strap in the box and no one at Amazon noticed the mistake (how could they know?). Anyway, that's my gain!FWIW, I measure IPD as 58-73mm. The Celestron adapter does not change those measurements.

Works great for my Celestron binoculars
This worked great during the last lunar eclipse to get some beautiful photos with an eyepiece gizmo attaching my cell phone to my binoculars on a tripod. Any instability is the fault of the tripod not this mount. I did not find it difficult or awkward to use at all. I'd recommend it for any serious viewing where you want steadiness.
