Tight with Fenders, but so far rock solid.
I delayed getting a rack since they're big and ugly for bikepacking. I tried to get seatbags to work for quite a while and the constant sag and cargo limitations proved too much.I settled on this rack after looking at reviews from other sites. A couple of items - This was installed on a 2020 Trek Dual Sport 2. The bike has a modern frame and mounting points. Installation was a cinch. The lack of installation instructions originally perturbed me, but there are plenty on YouTube and truthfully you don't really need these on a modern, commodity-level bicycle.Other interviewers have suggested it's not disc-compatible - this was not my experience. There was plenty of clearance here for mine.I can see why fenders would be extremely tight. I put a plastic fender on recently that just fit under the frame. While I haven't beat on this for years by any means, I have to say that the quality of materials and finish appears to be high quality. It's appropriate for the price point and makes me bullish on other Axiom products. It held up rock solid during a multi-day trip over rough roads and singletrack when weighed down with multiple pounds of strapped cargo.

Perfect fit for 2023 Specialized Stumpjumper
Quality, clears the disc brakes, attached without modification to the bike frame with included hardware. Plenty of clearance. I do not use a fender.

Great rack!
I have used the skinnier version of this rack for more than a decade, and I really liked that, but because it was so narrow, one of the struts contacted my rear fender. I finally decided to solve that problem, and I'm glad I did. This rack is still narrow, but has room...it's also taller, so if you run fat 700c tires, no problem. The one thing I don't care for is the black finish, which is fragile...but I can live with that.

Good fit for 148 Boost spacing, rides a bit high
Replacement for a 700c Jandd Expedition rack I destroyed by spanning out to fit rack mounts on Boost spacing. Didn't want to make the same mistake. When shopping no racks clearly advertised to 148 Boost, so I went with Axiom because it at least said 29er. Figured I'd give a review just to say this one fit fine with just slight spreading to make 148 spacing. It's sturdy, and actually rated for heavier weight than the mount points on my Niner SIR9 (rack is to #170, but Niner rates rear load on the bike to #55). Simple install. Rides pretty high, which might be issue fully loaded. Then again, the stays are just long enough to snugly support wedging in another Nalgene with small bungees. Photos are size L SIR9 frame, 29X2.3 tire, dressed with a Jandd mini-mountain pannier.

Could not use - Top deck is too narrow to be useful
Did not mount the rack or open the packaging. Viewed packaged product and noted top deck is < 4 inches, not useful to carrying a bag that sits laterally. Also, on my bike, the rack weight would be significantly behind the rear axle, not useful for stability and safety. Had to return item.

happy (and relieved) customer
I was struggling to find a good solid rack to add to a carbon-fiber mountain bike that has no mounting holes. I discovered this rack and was delighted to discover how well it fit at the wheel-mounts (below) and at the seat post (above). I only needed one additional part, a seat post clamp which was just a few bucks more. I've not put in under load yet with my rear bags, but all appearances are that it's plenty stable and strong.

horrible design, not disk brake ready
cons: mounting, narrow rack, not disc brake readywhile the main rack is sturdy, the curved piece to attach to the rear wheel's mounting holes is not and is rather filmsy. that piece is also sharp enough it chipped the paint off my new bike. the curvature of that piece makes. zero. sense. from an engineering perspective.the rack is so narrow at the top that there's too little clearance between the tire and the rack. narrow at the top also makes this an ineffective rack for the primary function of *carrying stuff*.no extenders to clear disk brake.overall horrible and incredibly disappointing, avoid!

Got sent used rack missing piece
They sent me a used rack with scuffed paint and it's missing an end cap on one of the mounting tubes. Looks like a solid rack but you'll probably get a used one if you order here.
