I was excited to find a real Japanese miso paste on my travels abroad, where Asian food is not very popular and ingredients hard to find. And this miso is also unpasteurised, which means it has the live bacteria cultures which are so beneficial for your health. It also comes in a handy lided box, easy to store in the fridge and spoon out of, and 300g is just enough amount if you eat miso often, but cannot keep it for long.It dissolves easily and is not too lumpy. It is a soft, medium sweet white miso. Unfortunately I have found it too salty to fully enjoy it as it was. I usually use a generous spoonful of white miso, because it is generally delicate and you can afford to scoop a bit more per portion than other type of miso. I ended up using probably half the recommended amount per serving because of how salty I fund it, which was disappointing because I was loosing all that beautiful umami taste.The product is good value, and others may find it salty enough for their taste.
