And essential in my personal case. I have worn a medical alert ID for countless years and have had many different types. I have encounter ones that have had information wear off of them, scratch easily, have broken links, etc. So, I tend to look for stronger bands nowadays. This band caught my eye because it resembles an adjustable watch strap in construction.The band is of quality metal which hasn't scratched up yet (I tend to work bracelets very hard) and has kept its shine and finish. The wording is embossed (Not very deeply though) on a fairly solid bit of metal.My only (Minor) issues with it are that the clasp, while quite strong has a habit of occasionally catching things and can come undone. Because the claps is smaller that the other links it sticks out when the bracelet links move too much. This maybe because I can't have the bracelet too tight and I need some small amount of slack in it (Not much but enough that the links can move freely). The other minor gripe is to do with the wasy the links are fixed together, they use split pins which is a great idea and works well. The issue comes from the tool provided to push the pins out so you can remove links. It works like a little vice/Pin punch but the in that pushes the split pins out of the links on the bracelet is very, very thin and doesn't always line up with the pins very well. If you're patience and take care it is fine to use but if you don't have the greatest eye sight it can cause trouble, just hope you don't bend the pin...Overall it is a great, well presented, and sturdy product that should last.

the womens version of this one is very cute!! it's not super obviously a medical bracelete from a distance but up close it's easily seen and read, the clasp is what you'd expect and over time loosens a bit but it's still easily wearablethey include a link removing kit which is a little finnicky to use but does the job very well, a little tip from me is to have an unbalanced chain so the clasp isn't directly behind your wrist but to the side instead, it helps in putting the bracelete on

My wife is Diabetic and was advised by her doctor to have a bracelet to advise any healthcare professional of this if for any reason she couldn't. My wife spent ages looking through the many versions of this on amazon and eventually decided this one best filled her needs. It looks and feels substantial and the wording is clear on it.She has worn it full time now for several months and it still looks as good as when she first put it on, she has even had several compliments about it during this time. She is glad she didn't go for a precious metal (Silver or silver coloured gold) because to have got such a heavy piece would have cost far more and could not have performed the job this does any better. As usual from amazon it was well packed and swiftly sent!

Actual bracelet is wider than I thought it would be but then I guess it caters for man size.But it is fine. I had to remove 5 links with the tool provided which was pretty easy to do.I like that the bracelet gives the name of the medication and not just 'blood thinner' which sounds a bit weird and ghoulish.It's a smart looking stainless steel construction and feels solid whilst being quite light. I don't take it off at all and I forget it is there.There is a tiny blemish on the name plate but I expect it will get more with time so I'm not bothered.Good value and recommended
