A refreshing change from female oriented decks
I've been recently purchasing tarot decks due to their art. I can't disagree with the other critics that these cards have art work that are a few shades darker than they should have been, but the art work is beautiful. The cardstock is also thick and sturdy, which is unusual since the most common complaint is that the cards are flimsy. These are not. This deck is geared toward the heterosexual female or the masculine guy. There are other decks that are more gay friendly with the Lovers or the Two of Cups being two people of the same sex, but this deck celebrates the male-female dynamic. If you liked Conan the Barbarian or Fabio's romance novel covers, this is the deck for you.

This deck would be much better suited to a brighter setting when printing
As with so many CGI ...the images glow on screen but appear quite dark once in print. This deck would be much better suited to a brighter setting when printing, and the type setting larger. The printed fonts are degraded and not easy to read.

My favorite deck
I own about 30 decks and Tarot Deck of Heroes, along with the original Rider Waite deck, are my favorites. I've always loved video game "style" artwork, and this deck has such a "epic fantasy world" feel to it. I LOVE it. I've purchase all my tarot decks through amazon and this is my first review I've written because I'm shocked at the low rating for this deck!! I would give it 100 stars if I could!! I feel so connected to this deck, and the cards seem more and more beautiful every day. Also on each card, there is a different gorgeous, epic, fantasy, gothic looking background and each one is stunning and original. I definitely would recommend this tarot deck to anyone who likes digital art, fantasy worlds, video game art, or who just wants to escape into a beautiful new world.

Refreshing interpretation but needs reprint
I have scores of tarot decks and really appreciate having a deck that turns the tide on sexually-charged artwork. As a woman, I find some decks frustrating because - despite having beautiful artwork - they seem to take gratuitous rendering of the female body too far. It's one thing to have a naked woman on the Star card, but is it really necessary to have a scantily clad (if clad at all) young woman with a "come hither" expression on every other card? To me, it ruins the symbolism of the card. This deck takes the other extreme...which makes me a hypocrite, I know. :) These are definitely beefcake, bodice-stripper renderings which isn't exactly my cup of tea but refreshing nonetheless for the reason just described. As for cons, there are several. First, I agree that the print is way too dark. The graphics are dark to begin with, but the printer took them shades darker - making some impossible to read completely (and the darkness is not appropriate for symbolic purposes). Second, while I don't care to see women on every single card, I also agree that the female renderings are inadequate - examples are the Queen cards, where the "Hero" is still the subject and you can't see much of the Queen. Third, some of the cards are very light on symbolism. If you are comfortable with RWS decks, it's not a problem, but if you are starting out I think some of this artwork isn't going to give you much to work with. For example, the Emperor is a young man wearing nothing but a loin-cloth, standing on a dirt road in the middle of a forest. This card doesn't resonate with me unless we're talking Lord of the Flies. I'm still trying to figure out the Chariot, which reminds me of Driving Miss Daisy. On the other hand, if you find some modern decks to have too much symbolism - too busy with zodiacs and elements and whatnot - this may be a good departure. For a few final comments...I like both the box and the card stock. Both are heavy duty and should stand up to wear. Some other independent decks (non-Lo Scarabeo) feel very low quality to me. The reverse side is unidirectional - I think it says "love" if you're wondering. Strength is VIII and Justice is XI. This is definitely computer generated art. Not as good in my opinion as Davide Corsi, but if you like his decks, you should be OK with this one. Some do have a heavy "video game" feel to them. I don't use the interpretation booklet, but it is printed on sturdy paper and looks more instructive than many of the LWBs in Lo Scarabeo decks. Although I've knocked some of the symbolism, there are some cards that are very interesting interpretations of RWS. E.g., the ten of swords shows the hero very much alive and in good health but looking down into a valley where his fellow horsemen lay slain. in sum, recommend if you are looking for a refreshing take on RWS but may not be the best deck for beginners.

its ok
its more male-ish theme deck computer generated art. the characters are beautiful but not well studied deck for divination. the booklet has each card div. meaning but do not explain anything about the characters on the card. the box is pretty to keep the deck inside it.

Tarot deck of heros
I was terribly dissapointed in this deck. It could have been a fun deck if the cards weren't so dark that you could barely make out what was on the card and then some had this horrible red tint. I'm not sure if this was the intent of the card designer or just a bad print job from China. I would not recommend this deck unless you like seeing things in shadow, although the cards that were bright and clear looked good.

Too dark but a nice deck nonethless
This deck is rather nice but very dark. U cant barely c the images or read the titles. I recommend it to young men more. Nice deck though.

Poor image quality .. way to dark to read
Nicely presented but the majority of images can’t be seen as their way too dark. Difficult to read even in bright light making their resolution poor quality indeed. Shame really could have been a interesting deck to use for male clients. Save your cash these cards aren’t worth the coin.

Tarot deck of Heroes

Printing fault
I have been looking forward to this deck for a while, having seen images on-line. Sadly, though, the printing of the deck has been severely bodged! While the image on the box cover and the companion booklet show nice details and colouring, the deck itself is for the most part so dark as to be unreadable. With regret, I returned my copy. If it is reprinted, I will buy it again, as I really like the humourous premise and execution. In the meantime, I wouldn't bother buying it!
