Hycline Bicycle Gear Lever

I recently bought a neglected Mongoose fat tire bike on Marketplace for a great price. The original shifter on the bike was no longer working, so I decided to upgrade it with the Hycline Twist Shifter Lever SL-RS35 as part of an overall update that also included new cable housings.The shifter doesn't come with any instructions, but installation is straightforward, and there are plenty of instructions and videos available on YouTube. After installation, you will need to readjust the rear derailleur, but that process is also relatively easy.Overall, I’m happy with this shifter. It feels sturdy and shifts smoothly, bringing new life to my bike. If you’re looking for a simple and affordable upgrade to replace an old or faulty shifter, this one gets the job done without any fuss.

Works great! Used with my original cable covers. Fed new cable through old casing to the de railer then adjusted it and it works as expected.Thanks so much. Prime member.

Was a direct replacement for my old twist shifter. Better quality too. Easy to install, no adjust was necessary.

Pros: 1. Easy installation. Use soap water under grips to slide them off easily, and that old shifter will come right off for a quick swap of the shifter; 2. Gears switch seamlessly. Tip, install with the chain on the lowest gear, for easy cable length, tightening; 3. Great value of a know reliable brand/product.Cons: 1. The cable length will NOT fit most Electra bikes. They have a longer body length than average bikes and about 6" more cable is needed. It is easy to swap out the longer cable to use this reliable 3 speed shifter. This is no fault of the product, just a caution if planning to use on the longer Electra bikes.Excellent overall product!

I purchased this to replace a shifter on my Townie 7D which needed replacement. it is the same as the original and works well with the exception that there are only #s 1 thru 6 on the indicator it will shift all 7 gears but there is no # 7 on the indicator. perhaps it is supposed to be there but is missing. disappointing however it will work. Can not give it a 5 because of this

i bought this for my bikes in the past and needed time to gove it a good review but as far for installation, easy to do, especially since it came with it's cable. useful for multi speed cruiser bicycles and Mountain bikes that are on a budget. i recommend it for those who are needing to replace a bicycle shifter that gotten damaged or too worn out and have the space for a twist shifter. I've also used it for a jockey shifter for a friends bicycle. overall, earns my use.

Needed to replace an old Shimano shifter on my old kids (now grandkids) bike. This was easy to install (I liked that it had plenty long cable), and worked smoothly when installed.

Nice and easy to use shifter. Got it to replace my current one. My bike was almost stolen, and for whatever reason, the thug cracked the original shifter. So the replacement went in nice and fast. I recommend.
