Researched a lot of electric fireplaces and decided to categorize them at “Under $500”, “$500-2000”, and “Over $2000”. Came down to three….a $1500 Modern Flames Spectrum, this $700 LegendFlames Austin, and $1100 Touchstone Sideline Elite. Reviews were not quite as good for the TS Elite, so eliminated that one. Went to see the more expensive MF Spectrum in person and hated the super-slim look with ugly wood scraps and weak flames.This LegendFlames is pretty awesome….wood chunks, flames, and firebed much more realistic than the $1500 MF. This one does put out a little heated air (if desired) and also has optional crackling sounds. Very happy with this unit at $700 compared to others. Easy to setup WiFi….just follow instructions…and worked on the first try. Contractor installed in a newly framed fireplace wall with a big screen TV and it looks great. This one is likely as good as you’ll get in that price range!

The media could not be loaded. We purchased a 60" unit to replace our existing gas/electric fireplace. As soon as I pulled it out of the box I saw the exceptional quality over a unit we purchased and returned. Installation is typical for these electric units, but keep in mind this is a bit deeper than the less expensive models. I attached 2x6's to my existing 2x4 studs.. then notched those to accept this fireplace. Very easy install once I removed the old fp, rock, sheetrock and replaced with new material. The effect is the best I have seen. MANY color combinations. Heat works well without taking the time to heat up like our old fp did. Very minimal faceplate making it look quite contemporary. You do get logs and various rock colors and sizes. There are quite a number of settings available. You can see we just decided on the black rocks and crystals. So far we are extremely pleased with the heat, flames and overall looks of this fp!

This is the vibe we were going for! Our room is huge with 12-18 ft ceilings. I’ve not noticed a difference in temperature changes in our space yet with it, hopefully as temps change in the Midwest we can use it and feel someWarmth.Minimalistic surround appearance.This is very quiet.The color combinations are unending.Overall worth the cost. Im buying another one for our master room.

I was about to purchase a much more expensive one, but I am completely satisfied with this one. Plus crackling sounds. Excellent!
