The lining is nice, haven't had any dirt escape it yet
I own a townhome where the HOA doesn't allow personal gardens in the landscaping. Bought the VegTrug in the hopes to have a little freestanding vegetable garden. Though the some of the boards didn't want to quite line up perfectly, I was able to put it together. The lining is nice, haven't had any dirt escape it yet! Wish the aluminum framed VegTrug was available in the US. Though I believe this will last a few years, would rather buy once than have to replace in the future.

and is well made and sturdy when construction is complete
For novice woodworkers the instructions are lacking, but if you know wood construction not difficult. The Garden behaves as advertised, and is well made and sturdy when construction is complete. A wheel system would be nice.

This is one sturdy outdoor bed
This is one sturdy outdoor bed. Worth every penny. It is deep enough to be able to grow root veggies! The liner is awesome as it is made to fit the bed. Love it

Best ever standing up to garden.
This is the first time I have done a herb garden. The veg truck has made it so easy to grow a garden, but the very best thing is that you don’t have to bend over to maintain it😀

Great planter for Herbs / Salad / Small Veg
I ordered both a 1M and a 2M VegTrug to put down the side of my house, I was hoping to extend the planting area I have for growing Salad, Vegetables and some Chilli's.The VegTrugs are really easy to assemble, especially when using an electric screwdriver. They hold a LOT of solid, so be prepared to do some serious digging or stocking up from discounted compost bags from your garden centre.Either way, a really nice item. The Value for money is 4 Stars as this unit was not treated, so I had to paint it before it was filled and planted out.

Plastic caps
I like this alot .the reason for only 4 stars is the caps on the end of the wooden legs they are just pushed on and will let water in eventually cause rot ...heat shrunk plastic would be great ....i used a quality black silicone and sealed in and around the legs .But I did it after not knowing .so do this before assembly ...also,watch video ..and leave the nuts lose until all is assembled .aids alignment at the top ......

VegTrug 1m Small
Like other reviewers, I had a problem fitting the side panels. I think the long side pieces (the one with the word VegTrug on and the opposite one) were a few millimetres too long, which meant that the fit between them and the side panels wasn't snug. Some screws therefore had to bridge a gap, although there are enough screws to make the structure stable despite this. It took me, a female with no DIY experience, working on my own, just under 2 hours to assemble. I haven't filled my VegTrug with compost yet - will be doing that in the next few days - but I've applied a silicone sealant around the black 'shoes' in an attempt to avoid water collecting inside the feet and rotting the wood (an idea I got from another review elsewhere) and I've also applied anti-slug tape to all the legs. Supposedly, slugs are not a problem because of the height but they definitely do climb and I'd rather add a deterrent before I start planting.

First purchase from Amazon that has dissapointed
Order arrived on time. When unpacked there were split side timbers. Very few of the pre drilled holes lined up. Some of the assembly instructions were missing. We managed to assemble the trug eventually, but had to drill further holes and use extra screws to ensure the product was sturdy enough to use. This is the first product purchased from Amazon that has dissapointed

Great design and a bumper harvest
It was a little tricky to put together - mainly due to us not reading the instructions first! We bought 2 of these in the spring and had a great harvest: French beans, carrots, onions, lettuce, kale, purple sprouting broccoli, beetroot tomatoes and courgettes. The design helped to avoid slug problems and made it easy to cultivate and harvest the veg (though the beans grew too tall).I'm looking forward to seeing what we can grow next year!
