The Odd 1s Out: The First Sequel

The Odd1sOut: The First Sequel is a lot better then the first book. The first book had half of its content already available for free on YouTube, so it didn't really make sense to buy it. However, this book is entirely original. Also, since this book is more opinions and ideas and less personal stories, it is far more interesting then the first book. James is really able to flesh his comedy when talking about random subjects and not just things that have happened to him. Now, a lot of the Amazon reviews I see for this book do not seem to understand it. First off: THIS IS NOT A CHILDREN'S BOOK!! While it does contain pictures, this book is not necessarily made for children. While most children can (and should) read this book, it is not marketed as a children's book. This is the same thing with James' YouTube Channel. While children watch and love the things James makes, they are not the sole consumers of his content. Because of this, there are a few jokes that will go over kids heads (James recommends creating a product called a "Trebuchet For Her" ). Regardless, the jokes are not blatantly adult, so kids should have no qualms about reading this book. The second is the whole "missing pages" situation. The pages are purposefully missing as a joke, due to them being missing in the "Conspiracy Theories" section. The joke (I shouldn't have to explain this, but I will), is that the editor/government cut out pages of James supposedly proving popular conspiracies. This is all done as a joke, and a funny one at that. Anyway, I would say going into buying this book that the missing pages are intentional, and this is not a children's book (though children can and will still enjoy it). With all that cleared up, this is a funny, well edited, and enjoyable book for everyone that is much better then it's first installment. Highly recommend buying.

This book was such a good book! It is the only book series that makes me laugh out loud. I thought it was a very well written, funny book. And also, some people are saying that the author missed chapter 13 and it’s a typo, but it’s not, the author did it on purpose. In chapter 12, the author is joking about the earth being flat. Then he says, “But I don’t think they’ll do any tampering with this book. I mean, all I did was give out a well-guarded government secret. What are they gonna do? Not print the pages? Pft. In the next chapter, I’ll give you proof that the moon landing was faked”. And then it skips chapter 13 and goes to 14. It even skips the page numbers. It skipped chapter 13 because he was making a joke about the publisher taking out the next chapter because he was going to reveal “government secrets”.

Granddaughter loved the doodle pad. Excellent and as described! Very good price :-)

Son loves it, and has spent lots of time enjoying the prompts in it. He couldn’t wait to show us his sketches. Great product and will definitely be purchasing more in the future.

My daughter loves this! Really fun book

My 13 year old daughter really enjoyed this book, and read it in less than an hour. She loves this you tuber, and was very happy with the book. I’mAlmost done reading it myself and it’s quite funny. It has several mistakes that I’m sure will be fixed for the next edition, not my favorite kind of book, not the best literature, but it keeps my kids entertained and they want more of it. Nice pages and nice funny drawings.

the book was not that bad. Although i am a bit older than the average reader (im 14). Some reviews were talking how the book made errors by printing the page upside down and forgetting a page. im not sure if the reviews were being ironic but im sure whoever wrote those reviews were either parents or litteral brainlets. let me explain, the upside down page was a joke by the author talking about how Astrailians were upside down meanning that they were in the opposite side of the earth making them talk,eat,speak and do everything upside down. the second falsely accused error was missing pages. this was also a joke by the author when he was claiming that the earth was round and he will expain everything in the next chpter. he also mentioned that the publishers might delete this chapter to stay out of trouble,so thats supposedly what happened.im writing this in my kindle where it is very hard to type so if i made ny grammar mistakes please understand.

My 8 year old son found an old copy his older brothers Odd 1s Out (blue cover)in the closet as a back up for his daily 20 min reading assignment. He was reading an hour every evening with ease and had many laughs. This sequel book is also holding up to expectation!

This isn't a flimsy short book that you finish in 10 minutes. There is a lot of content to read over and over. So funny too!
