The BEST thinnest screen protector ever made for mobile device
Update Feb.2022:- My phone fell 2 times in the last 3-4 months. The first fall was about 3-4 months ago on a pavement and the screen hit directly a small rock which caused 2 long thin cracks, V-shaped BUT here is where the film did its miracle:It held the screen together, limited the damage and the cracks were not visible when the screen was lit. I was able to use the screen without any issue at all for months. So I decided to keep it broken as-is and repair later. But then I triped hard recently while running with phone on hands and the phone was thrown with quite brutal force onto the cement again. This time, there were more new cracks localized on a corner.Again... MIRACLE! The film prevented the screen to shatter in pieces, held the screen together with no issue and the screen remained functional 100%. The corner cracks were visible this time when the screen was lit.I assessed that if a third fall happen, I should not tempt the devil as I could really loose the screen and make things worst, so this time I decided to fix the screen for $127 at a shop.CONCLUSION: in my +10 years of using smarphones with Skinomi, I had them fall several times on pavement but this is the only time when a fall would cause a crack. That's because the screen unluckily hit a single frontal point of impact due to a tiny rock. A rare and and edge case. Therefore, this real life test confirm it's really an awesome screen protection that does its job above and beyond within the limits of the laws of physics.Aug 2020 (original post):I've been using the Skinomi brand for years on my smartphones. They've protected very well my phone screen against many drops on various surfaces including concrete from about desk height BUT you will need to complement it with a case. My phone which I held for 9 years had a very thin case with no edge to protect the screen and yet it resisted many many drops. Maybe the fact that it was a Nokia quality built phone played a role too...If you are looking for the thinnest and best looking and best feel screen protector, look no further! You ONLY have TPU films sold by 2 brands: Skinomi and ArmorSuit MilitaryShield. I've never used the 2nd one but I heard from reviwers on forums that it's good too.Plastic/protectors loks ugly and scrath easily, and tempered glass, costs more, adds thickness and additional weight.I've chosen Skinomi for eyars, because they usually give more for your bucks and they have super great customer service. For example their price typically includes 2 screen protector films which is great if you mess up the installation or you need to replace several years down the line. The other vendor typically includes only 1 screen protector. There should be no need to replace under normal usage. These TPU film protectors resist time very well. Exceptionally I had to replace one after many years of service because at some point I used heavily my phone a lot under hot and humid weather at the beach and at seas, and under these conditions the film started to peel off slightly at the edges and catch marks, dust etc. But that was an exception. There should be no problem under regular usage at the beach.MY INSTALLATION BEST ADVICES:The install can be a bit painful if you want a perfect install. That's the only downside of this product. The main reason is that during the install the TPU film can catch dust very easy so... PREPARATION IS KEY!A) The first time, preparation included, put aside at least 1 hour of your time if you wanna do it correctly. So do all the personal things you need to do beforehand: drink, eat etc. You don't want to be distrubed during the installation process.B) Be ready to not use your phone for 6-10 hours, so choose a day/time wiselyC) You will need good lighteningD) You will need a scotch tape next to you too in case you need to roll reversely a tape around the finger to remove a grain of dustE) You may need 2 extra pieces of clean microfiber clothes on the side in case the small one included in the box becomes to wet to useF) Vacuum the area and clean up very well the surface on which you will operateG) Avoid fans, AC if you can. Avoid touching face and hairs or anything unclean.H) Wear clean clothes. soap wash and dry hands right before operations.I) Make sure whatever you gonna use on the screen, like the microfiber cloth, are laid down on a very clean area free of dustK) If this is your first time, prepare a bowl of water mixed with mild detergent ('cuz the amount of detergent liquid spray included with the box may not be enough).L) Dip the fingers that's gonna touch the screen in the bowl of mixed water/detergent rather than using the spray so you can save it for the screen protector. Make sure your fingers are always wet when manipulating the screen to avoid leaving fingerprintsM) Clean very well your phone to be perfect clean woth no spot no dustN) Don't hesitate to SPRAY the liquid onto the screen protector, especially abundantly on the side that will touch the screen. Spray a little bit on the screen itself too.O) Read and follow instructions as included in the manual and watch Skinomi install website and maybe some other YouTube videos beforehand to get an idea of the install processP) If you need to peel off parts of the film protector to remove some dust, spray the liquid onto that part of the screen and do it very gently with wet finger. You will need to wrap reversely a piece of scotch tape round a finger to try to remove the stuck grain of dust. YEAH, THAT PART REQUIRES TO BE FINGER FLEXIBLE AND FINGER SKILLEDSo is it worth going through all this pain? If you really like to look and feel your real screen, and look at something that's almost invisible and lightweight that protects well your screen, and made of high quality material, and at a decent price, then... YES!Some suggestions for Skinomi to improve: include a bigger microfiber clothes and include more spray liquid. The spray tube in the box is barely enough. And also, perhaps give the option to include for free the plastic "card" they used to include along to swipe out the water. Make it as an option for only those who need it. We want to be sustainable and ecological too by limiting plastic waste.Else, Skinomi brand ss really the best screen and thinnest protector ever made on the planet and at a fair price point.

Awesome screen protector
Overall: I love this product. The look and feel of it are to the point where I'm sure in a few days I won't be consciously aware it's there (I only am now because it's new and so I'm thinking about it); and I love the wet install as it is very forgiving and gives you the chance to remove any dust particles if they get under the protector during the install.I haven't used a protector in 5 or 6 years because the scratch resistance of the stock screens has been enough for me. But somehow I managed to scratch my pixel 2 within a week of having it (could just be bad luck or gorilla glass 5 could be less scratch resistant than previous generations, I don't know), so went with skinomi because I've used their products in the past and love the wet install.Fit: The fit is perfect to the point that you can't even tell it's there unless you are looking for it. And it sits far enough from the edge that I know it won't interfere with nor get push around by a case. The reviewers that complained that it doesn't cover the entire screen should have known that the gap around the edge would be there given that this is "case friendly" (and in my experience from shopping around for glass protectors, it seems to be well known that "case friendly" means there will be a gap around the edge). Plus, since we do have bezels on all sides of the screen, it's not as though there is actually screen behind the very small exposed edgesFeel: Changing the feel of the screen was my biggest concern, but now that the protector is on I can say that there is no negative aspect to this. If you're really thinking about the feel, you can tell that it's not naked glass; but when you're not thinking about it, it's similar enough that it doesn't change the experience of using the phone at all. I definitely don't feel that it's tacky or sticky or gummy or anything along those lines -- I've had no issues swiping on this protector (and of course taps or virtually the same) -- I supposed humidity or finger oils/dirt may make a difference here, but I have not experienced that.Fingerprints/smudging: In my experience this is no better or worse than a naked screen. Since there is already coating on the stock screen, it would be hard to be more resistant, so that this protector is "no better" is not a con in my mind.Protection: Unlike a liquid protector that I also tried, I *know* this is providing scratch protection because I know that something would have to go through the protector to get to the screen. I've used skinomi in the past so I know that the self healing thing does work if you get indentations. Not being glass: I believe in reviewing a product on what it actually claims to be rather than what a consumer mistakenly thinks/wants a product to be. So with that said, I don't find any of the reviews saying to get glass protector instead to be helpful. This isn't a glass protector, you shouldn't expect it to be, and it doesn't make sense to me to down-rate it based on it not being glass. A glass protector would theoretically add some protection for hits to the screen since it would disperse the force across the surface of the glass protector rather than the screen - but I personally haven't ever needed this type of protection as I've never accidentally stabbed or hammered my phone screen. I don't think the physics really check out for saying glass protectors add drop protection unless perhaps your phone falls flat on its face (if a corer hits, a glass protector would probably crack since it protrudes above the screen, but I don't think it would take much force away from the force going into the corner of the phone which is what would crack the actual screen, of course I don't have scientific data to back this up). So for me, I prefer a film protector because I can do a wet install, I know there won't be the halo effect (can happen when the edges don't stick on the full glue type) or the rainbow effect (can happen on the type that are only glued around the bezels and not where the screen is), and I know it won't crack or chip like a glass protector.Install: -- Here's where I'm absolutely flabbergasted by the negative reviews -- I'm not sure what some of these people are doing, other than not following the instructions, obviously. This product is a wet install, that's stated clearly in the "Revolutionary Installation Process" section, so it shouldn't be a surprise nor should someone down-rate based on that (if you didn't want a wet install, then why did you buy the product?).-- I've done a dry install film before and sure it may be faster but you have to be way more meticulous about lining it up the first time and you're out of luck if you get any dust in there. The wet install may take longer, but as long as you follow the instructions it's super easy.-- My favorite part: After initially getting the protector in place (but before you let it sit overnight, since you wouldn't want to try to remove it once it's cured to the screen), you have the opportunity to gently lift back any section and use the application liquid to gently remove any dust particles if you happened to get any under the protector (I personally have always gotten at least one spec of dust in each of my installs, but again it's super easy to get out).--Getting the extra liquid into holes on the phone (i.e. speaker cutouts, sim tray, buttons, etc) used to be a bigger concern for me when I used to install these on all my phones years ago, but knowing that the Pixel 2 is water resistant, I wasn't concerned at all. If you're extra paranoid, it's not that difficult to only push the liquid to the edges and avoid the speakers.--I had only 3 bubbles after leaving the phone overnight (roughly 6-7 hours) and they were pretty small. I'm sure they would have gone away if I waited a full 24-48 hours, but it was easy enough to push them out the sides (using the same microfiber cloth wrapper around a card method that you use during the install).-- I'm not sure why others have complained that there is no card/squeegee included - if you bought this product on Amazon then surely you have a credit/debit card.-- The instructions clearly say to spray the outside face of the protector and to wrap a card with the microfiber cloth - so scratching the protector during install is not a concern.-- I had absolutely no issue with stretching during the install, I'm not sure how hard others were squeegeeing, but clearly way harder than they needed to (you only need to push the liquid out, it takes almost no force to push water). And it seems to common sense to remove it from the film it ships on carefully-- So long as you follow the instructions to put the liquid on your fingers before taking the protector off of the film it ships on, there is no issue with getting fingerprints on the back/sticky side of the protector.

If you like bubbles
I wanted to like this, since it's impossible to find a tampered glass for the pixel 3 xl but I cleaned my screen for 10 minutes and made sure there was no dust on it and after I finished the install there was nothing but bubbles all over and a lot of them you could get out with a credit card but that only left a crazy amount of scratch marks all over it, I ended up spending roughly $30 CAD on this and ended up throwing out my two attempts at trying to get the bubbles out into the grabage can. Would not recommend at all.

Best screen protector I've had!
The screen feels as if you have no protector on it, it just fits so well! My phone finally reacts to touch on the side because the protector covers the curve on the side too. The only downside is that it takes some effort to put it on, you need to apply to spray and then press for a minute or so. But in the end there are no bubbles and the result is great!

Amazed how good this is - Google Pixel 2
Absolutely astounded by this. Have wasted so much time and money trying to get a case friendly screen protector for my Pixel 2 - they would either start lifting up at the sides due to my case, or cause problems by stopping the proximity sensor working or there would be a massive gap and bubbles at each side where screen slightly curves. I then came across this and took a chance - at first a bit apprehensive as you have to wet the protector before applying it. However installation was easier than I thought and even though you wet the protector it doesn't actually get the phone that wet - less solution is more and don't forget the pixel 2 is water resistant anyway. When wet apply it and line the protector up, gently smooth over any large bubbles or streaks and leave to cure for several hours overnight. The next day there were still some pockets, streaks and bubbles under the screen however after 3 days the screen protector is flawless and looks amazing. This isn't a tempered glass protector but is instead feels like a thin layer of self healing gel like substance, it has a very smooth surface feel and doesn't affect screen usage at all, compared to a tempered glass protector I believe this would possibly provide slightly less protection but it's compatibility, aesthetics and the facts this will still give a good level of protection - particularly resilient to scratches I am very happy. I cannot rate this product enough and would give 6 out of 5 if I could.

Easy to install screen protector
Screen protector is easy to install. This is the first screen protector that hasn't bubbled up on my Pixel 3 XL. It is not as thick as a full tempered glass but still has a really good feel and works really well to protect my phone.

The only screen protector to buy.
At first I was skeptical, but now it's literally the only screen protector my friends and I use now.Super easy to install and offers great protection. Lets be honest, if I drop my phone the screen protector isn't going to protect the fall. It will protect again scratches and marks - which is does fantastically. AND IT LOOKS GREAT.Install is as simple as dampening the screen (don't worry only slightly, so it's safe), then sliding on the film and moving it into the perfect position. You let it dry and it like 10-20 minutes that's it. No pulling it off cause it's slightly eschew or anything like that. Bubble either dry out or you simple rub off the edge. You get 2 in an box and that will last you more than a year easy.
