Doesn’t extend
This might as well be only one foot long. It doesn’t stretch in length at all, even after a lot of use and attempts to stretch it.

Great idea
I was CONSTANTLY losing the danged remote! One day I thought, "it would be nice to have a string or something attached to this thing!" I decided to check on amazon to see if anyone had such a product for sale and that is how I found this item. I love it except for the fact that the sticky stuff which attached the end of the cord to the side of the table I stuck it to eventually stopped working which is why I gave it four instead of five stars. I have a clip on lamp next to my chair so I put one end of the cord under the clip and that has worked very well. No more hunting for the remote! I love it.

A great timesaver
These are perfect and easy to use, especially for someone with Dementia. No more lost (stolen) remotes. Definitely worth the cost. Easy to apply.

Weak So-called Adhesive, complete trash
I bought 3 of these to use on TV remotes. I placed one end on the remote which seemed like it stuck well to it's clean flat back side. The other end I placed onto the side of an acrylic box holder (purchased on Amazon in the same order) on the wall. Was thinking this was a great way to keep the remote close to the TV. So the remote was sitting in the acrylic box with the coil hanging out - no weight being placed on either end. (Imagine an old telephone with a coiled cord like this one and the telephone is sitting on a table without being used at all) The remote had not even been touched once (was in a hotel fitness room) but yet a week later there is one end of this coil hanging freely. The so called adhesive pad had fallen off the remote. It was a waste of time and money. Trashing the other 2.
