It's worth reading about.I chose this product/brand because it doesn't contain palm oil, coconut oil, harmful fillers, additives, chemicals, binders, preservatives, etc. (Made in the USA)

Well regarded brand & well-packaged, high quality liposomal vitamin C supplements...
This is my first time trying liposomal vitamin C; the idea seemed a bit strange to me at first -- a water soluble vitamin delivered via liposomes (little lipid spheres made up of phospholipids) to help with absorption. But after reading up a bit, it seems to be the most bioavailable form of vitamin C (that can be ingested, at least). I'm familiar with The Body Kitchen brand and find them to be a trustworthy company and their products are of excellent quality. They do a good job of providing basic information and the full list of ingredients in the product description, and they don't exaggerate their claims. This liposomal vitamin C seems to be no exception to the quality I have come to expect. The capsules are large but not too difficult to get down. Two capsules are a serving and each contains 500 mg of the liposomal vitamin C complex (ascorbic acid, lecithin from sunflower, flavonoids from citrus fruit and fatty acids from phospholipids). The current price of 19.95 (down from the regular price of $24.95) is a bit high for a one-month supply (if taking the full dose) but still within reason. I think it is important to choose supplements from reputable brands like this one, which is also based in the USA, another plus. I only take 1 capsule per day as I am taking other supplements that contain vitamin C as well. I haven't had any digestive upset or ill effects from taking this supplement. It arrived properly sealed.

Large capsules, 500 mg each.
I started taking vitamin C when Linus Pauling, a two-time Nobel Prize winner, advocated vitamin C as a means of reducing the incidence of colds. I have found that I get few colds compared to other people. However that is not a very large or scientific sample. The Linus Pauling Institute at Oregon State University now takes a more moderate view "Regular supplementation with vitamin C (0.25 to 2 g/day) did not reduce the incidence of colds in the general population (23 trials); however, in participants undergoing heavy physical stress (e.g., marathon runners, skiers, or soldiers in subarctic conditions), vitamin C supplementation halved the incidence of colds (5 trials). A benefit of regular vitamin C supplementation was also seen in the duration of colds, with a greater benefit in children than in adults: The pooled effect of vitamin C supplementation was a 14% reduction in cold duration in children and an 8% reduction in adults."The Mayo Clinic view is consistent "Taking oral vitamin C supplements won't prevent the common cold. However, there's some evidence that when people who regularly take vitamin C supplements get a cold, the illness lasts fewer days and symptoms are less severe. Starting a vitamin C supplement only after you develop a cold is of no help."The Body Kitchen Liposomal Vitamin C is not really 1,000 mg. The serving size is two capsules meaning that each capsule is 500 mg. If I want to get my 1000 mg, I have to take two of the capsules. The capsules are large, but still easy to swallow.

works well
I have been using high doses of liposomal C for about 11 months now, in an effort to bring down eosinophil levels. Liposomal C absorbs better and stays in your system slightly longer.Normal course of treatment for lowering eosinophils is glucocorticoids and a low dose chemo drug. (hyper eosinophilia is a bone marrow issue) Both are hard on your system. My researched therapy of choice has worked instead and so I continue it. C does not stay in the system long so I take 2 capsules in the morning and 2 more in the afternoon. I ended up lowering my eosinophils from 1552 to 480 so far in 11 months. It needs to be below 500 so I did it!THIS brand did not not seem to change thing any. It seems to be working as well as other brands I have used. My numbers keep coming down. I also have a mast cell disorder and I noticed with the higher doses of C that my reactions have been lower. That is a nice "side effect".No complaints of regrets here.

Liposomal C, large capsules that are light and easy to swallow
I take vitamin C daily for immune support and general health, not in mega doses, usually 500 to 1000 mg per day. I ordered these because they are liposomal and I like this as a delivery system for vitamins. These in particular are made up of sunflower lecithin and bioflavonoids, in addition to the 500 mg per capsule of Vitamin C. I like the extra choline that comes with the sunflower lecithin.Although these are fairly large capsules, they are very light and have a slippery feel to them and I find them easy to swallow. There is no taste or aftertaste. I’ve had no gastrointestinal upset with these. The serving size is two capsules daily; two of these capsules equals 1000 mg of Vitamin C. There are 60 capsules in the plastic bottle, so these will last a month. At the current list price, this is on the expensive side for Vitamin C, but I do like the formulation.

Easier to absorb, nice dose of Vitamin C
I ordered this to add to my immune boosting supplements. I take a daily multi and other supplements but especially during the winter when cold/flu and everything else tends to rise, I increase my immunity regimen. Pounding the Vitamin C AFTER you get sick, is of little benefit. I ordered this "liposomal" specifically because from what I have read, it's a more potent form of Vitamin C. It is better (and more efficiently) absorbed, so your immune system gets the benefits. Taking MORE Vitamin C is not helpful, if you are not actually absorbing it. I am using this to hopefully optimize absorption and ward off illness. I am planning to take this right into spring and summer to keep my immune system strong. I want to stay on this consistently so my body has what it needs to fight off colds and sickness.
