Five TenTrail Cross Mid Pro Mountain Bike Shoes

So, I’m not writing this review to bash the brand or seek any kind of compensation. I just hope my experience with these shoes helps anyone considering a pair of these. For starters, I’ve always been a fan of Adidas and I stay loyal to a brand if I can depend on their products so I’m a little let down by these MTB shoes. They do run on the big side, I ordered a 13 and prob could fit into a 12.5 but finding a 12.5 is often slim to none chance! So, I made the 13 work with an extra insole and that tightened things up a bit! Next, if you have a wide foot these prob won’t be the best choice! I have a narrow/slim foot and they work for me in that aspect. Also, they do run pretty hot…it’s like a wetsuit for your foot. However, the heat doesn’t bother me but may not work for some people. Now for the part that I’m disappointed with. As you can see from my pictures, the soles are separating from the foam in the same spot on each shoe. This is after only one month of riding! For what these shoes cost, I definitely expect a longer life out of them! I will glue them back together myself and hope they don’t continue to separate in other spots. Sadly, I cannot recommend these if someone asked how I like them(which happens often in parking lots when people scope out your gear). However, I’m all about second chances and my next shoe purchase will probably be the Freerider/pro. Hope this helps

I love how these look and feel and was even thinking gif wearing them as a fashionable shoes for sportive look with my pants for everyday use but quickly found that due to my large foot (size 12) and the tight sleeve cuff around the ankle it’s a tough thing to put on and off regularly. Fitting my big foot through the small elastic sleeve before it goes inside the shoe requires some patients and flexibility as you have to handle the shoe precisely while putting your foot in! FYI Just in case someone is riding and not flexible enough.

These get your feet HOT! There made of wet suit material and keep the heat in. Not ideal for warm climate.

I really like this shoe. Works well with flat pedals and all around comfortable to wear. Only complaint is getting the shoe on. The neoprene ankle sleeve makes it hard to pull this shoe on when the shoe is new. I have experienced something similar to other shoes that use a neoprene sleeve around the ankle. Once on, the shoe performs well. I have not experienced any shoe slippage on the flat pedals. The studs on the pedals work well this shoe.

Very comfortable and stable while riding. I really liked them right out of the box. Size was about perfect compared to my other size 11 shoes. They do run narrow, which works for me, but I can see these being uncomfortable for my wide feet brothers, especially the tighter opening, which keeps the dirt out, but could be frustrating for some. The bottoms grip my pedals super well, so overall I'm happy.

Very pleased because they are comfy and also love the high top as it feels more supportive. I did notice a little more grip but the first use i was submerged in 1” of mud all around and still did plenty good with grip. One downside that its just based on preference was the look just looked a little funny but dont care since they are for mtb.

They’re amazing, you get a good grip and it holds your ankle just enough so you don’t bend it too much. Only issue is the price, I don’t understand why they cost so much (this could easily be worth $50 less). Anyways, if you’re looking for nice, sturdy and need your ankle to stay in place, this is the right shoe for you.
