Very Easy to Install!
We live in an area where the water is pretty yucky. The new Samsung fridge came with a filter for the water but a neighbor recommended that we install an in line filter as well. What was coming out of the fridge was decent but we decided to take the neigbor's advice and go for double filtered water. Looked into several different filters and ultimately chose this one because it is good for three years and the majority of the reviews mentioned how easy it was to install. Folks, it was absurdly easy to install. We had more trouble turning off the water to the house (which is very old). We simply cut the plastic tubing - shoved it in the end of the filter pulled back a bit as the instructions tell you to and turned the water on to flush the filter. Three minutes later we had lovely fresh water flowing thru the filter. We then shoved the other half of the tube in the out flow end of the filter and we were done. It really was that easy.

Easy to Install and works great!!!
Easy to install and works as described... I actually mounted it to back of refrigerator and it worked fine... I have no way to test the filtering so I am just going to assume that it is actually doing something... Water dripped from the spigot for a couple of days after install... but after using the water dispenser and ice dispenser a few times this stopped and all seems to be fine... I don't have any complaints... It seems to work great... As a side note I have a Samsung refrigerator and the Samsung filters and generic knock-offs all stopped working a couple of years ago... Apparently Samsung changed the filter design and now they will not work in older refrigerators... Samsung doesn't seem to care... so this fixed that problem and I don't have to change the filter nearly as often... Great solution... wish I had done this earlier...

Easy to instal
I wanted a multi-year in-line filter for my refrigerator ice maker. It took a lot of searching for a generic model, a reputable manufacturer, and a filter that included lead. I got what I wanted in this product. The product did not have installation instructions and I was expecting a screw-on connector. I installed it myself with no problem although I had to remove the screw-on connectors from the previous filter. I really don't know how to remove it when it comes time to replace it. Remember to hook up the water line first and let water drain thru the filter for a minute or so or until the water is clear.

It should be great in the long run because an internal water filter ...
The internal water filter mount on my newish Samsung refrigerator broke. I think maybe from using non samsung water filters? Instead of a costly repair, I decided to try this external water filter. It should be great in the long run because an internal water filter needs to be changed every 300 gallons, the woder filter should be changed after an absurd 10,000 gallons?!Installation was a breeze. Cut the water line that leads to your refrigerator. My water line is polyethylene tubing. Insert the two cut ends into the filter's respective openings. There is a flow in opening and a flow out opening. Then slightly tug on the tubing to seal. It uses John Guest connectors instead of brass fittings. Amazingly, I had no leaks. With brass fitting I normally get leaks that I have fix with tweaking. Then install the filter against the wall or against the refrigerator. No fuss.As far as how well it filters? I don't have a way of testing this.I was told by the seller that it is or will be NSF 42 and NSF 61 certified, with a possibility of NSF 53. NSF 53 seems to be the magic certification. Genuine samsung filters are NSF 53 and NSF 42while every cheap knockoff is NSF 42. NSF 42 will filter out the tap water smell and taste everyone hates. NSF 53 certified filters will filter out a specific health contaminants while NSF 61 certified filters filter out another specific set of health contaminants. You can easily head down a rabbit hole with all this.I'm not sure how much of an impact all of this makes on the average person, but as far as this Woder water filter goes, I can say that the filtered water doesn't smell or taste the same as the water straight from the faucet.

Easy to install.
This product was so easy to install. I shut off the water and cut the copper water line to the refrigerator, cleaned it and push the end of the copper line closest to the shutoff into the inlet side of the Woder filter and pulled back as per the instructions. I put a bucket at the end of the filter and turned on the water for 3 minutes. Then I shutoff the water, cleaned the copper line going into the refrigerator, pushed it into the outlet end of the filter and pulled back. Then turned on the water and no drips. Total time for the job was about 10 minutes! Easiest plumbing I have ever done. The directions were clear and I encountered zero problems.

No Documentation Provided
I bought this filter based on the extensive claims made. Upon receipt, I found no documentation on its actual performance in the box (as a matter of fact, the filter I received directly from Amazon didn't even have IN and OUT flow arrows, making me wonder if it is even a genuine part). Anyways, I went to the manufacturer's website and still couldn't find any documentation on NSF certification (or the independent lab they talk about). Sent them an email through their website a couple of weeks ago and never heard back. So... good luck trusting your and your loved ones health with this product since all I can see is claims with no evidence/certification to back them. They largely talk about meeting NSF 42 standard (which is merely on water odor/taste and has nothing to do with removing harmful stuff) and even that remains a claim with no actual evidence. There is also claims about lead, but it seems that it's actually referring to their product being "lead-free" not actually tested to remove lead from water. I'll gladly update this if I ever hear from the manufacturer.

Best water filter on the market
I have been using this water filter since it had a different name 2 times before in the last 20 years. It use to be 5 year filter, so they decided to sell more filters by reducing the use to 3 years. But, where else can you get a water filter that is good for 3 years but this water filter that works.
