A good price performance ratio
The media could not be loaded. Hi all, I have tested this USB microscope 1010p resolution for the last few days.I need to mention that I purchased this item, then reimbursed by the supplier, with no contractual obligations.I have purchased with my own money the previous model non HD model, so now I will make a review of the HD model, compared to the older one.First impression on opening the box was they are very similar except the color. Old was black the new one is light blue both nice velvet finish at touch. Both have 8 LED lights around the lens with old one having a dimmer on the cable, new one as button on the side with multiple press dimmer mode.New one comes in an elegant sturdy travel box with a small stand, and adapters for USB C, microUSB and USB 2, included. The included stand, from my experience it is not very good for taking steady images as it wobbles on the table, as you need to touch the camera for focus and to take a snap. The supplier had offer previously an upgraded aluminium stand, that is makes the gadget much more usable. Please esquire with supplier to see if offer still stands.New camera has a 1920x1080 resolution in still mode and a 640x480 in video mode. App tested was the one recommended by supplier Xploview. The new images are at much larger in size (aprox 1Mb compared with aprox 90Kb old one) and better quality compared to old non HD sensor.Saying that the built in LEDs are more of a nuisance that helpful, as any gloss surface reflects the LEDs back into images. Best results are when you turn the lights off and use natural light if you can, or better still an external warm studio light, with diffuser. The package comes with a printed card of up to 0.1mm grids, etc that can be useful on scaling up/measure small items for school projects etc.Overall it is a much useful package then previous models and I can see it used by amateur macro enthusiasts, as well as by students with an interest in biology, geology, botanic, electronics, or where taking images in macro mode it important, but do not require equipment into hundreds or thousands of Euros/ Pounds. A good price performance ratio in my view. See sample images and video.

Excellent value and easy connectivity
This microscope was only £39 so i really wasn't expecting much but i am pleasantly surprised. The picture quality is all the way up to 4k, im still using FHD and it is just fine. It has a ring of LED lights surrounding the lens which helps illuminate the subject. Its wireless, and works well although i prefer cable connection. the included stand is ok and will hold the body well enough but they will send you an improved stand if you email them the invoice number and review it. I use this for electronic repair, pc/laptop, consoles, SMD and rework etc and it is perfect. small enough footprint for crowded workbenches!! recommended value microscope at this price point, but punches above its weight with the returns.

Worth the money imo
This works surprisingly well and can zoom with good detail better than expected, it can be a bit of a pain to get the distance to focus correct as it changes depending on zoom level (atleast with the dial the digital zoom stays in focus but only goes to 2x of whatever zoom you are currently using) the photos included are of a 1 cent coin and a 2 euro coin, I also included a random plant that I found incase anyone wanted to look at plants as well it would work

Great for working on PCBs
I repair electronic items such as PCBs, mobile phone etc and although I already have a headset magnifier it does become uncomfortable to wear after a while so thought that a USB microscope would be a better option for long term use. I purchased this product after reviewing several that were available for lower prices because it offered 2MP full HD capability, whereas cheaper alternatives were only 640x380. The camera worked out of the box - I plugged it into the USB port of a Windows 10 computer and it was automatically available to the Windows camera app. It is very simple to use and, as you can see from the photo, gives a very clear image. The "WR3E" on the PCB in view is about 5mm width and the photo was taken on the lowest magnification of 40x. The camera comes in a carrying case with a decent solid stand and will be my goto aid for future PCB work.

Excellent inexpensive digital microscope. Recommended.
The media could not be loaded. I’ve been pleasantly surprised by this digital microscope and how easy it was to get working. No additional software is needed to be downloaded, the built in webcam software can be used on Windows or Mac. Please note a link for an alternative webcam application is provided in the manual, this does have the benefit of being able to use the SNAP button (camera shutter) on the side of the microscope. Personally if I can avoid downloading extra software I will, so I won't be using it. I also find clicking the on-screen shutter button with the mouse pointer isn’t a problem and avoids accidentally moving the microscope.I’ve used the microscope with a iMac and mini Windows PC, I’ve not used it with an Android device, so I can’t comment on how it works with that. I didn’t have any problems using it on either of my devices. I plugged it into the USB port and loaded up Photo Booth on Mac and it worked (I just had to change from the built in FaceTime camera to the microscope, this is in a drop down menu at the top of the screen). On my Windows device it was even easier as it doesn’t have a built in webcam. I loaded up the Camera app and the microscope image was displayed straight away. The quality of the image was far better than I expected, especially for the price. Still images have a resolution of 2560 × 1440 and videos are 1920 × 1080.Example images… Coin, plush dinosaur, flower stem, instruction manual at maximum magnification.

Picture quality keeps stalling
I didn’t want to write a bad review as I’m sure this can be rectified easily by sending me out a replacement microscope but this was the only way I could find to reach out to the seller. The picture quality is terrible in terms of freezing every second and very delayed. Simply doesn’t work properly. Please test product before posting out, I’d like another that actually works posting please?ThanksJake
