Exactly what I need from an audio adapter
I am beyond satisfied with this adapter! The volume level is great, much louder than most other adapters I've tried and the quality and clarity is noticeably better as well. This is everything I need out of an adapter as a lover of headphone listening and musician. And it's only 50 bucks, works great in my car too

I use it every day
I am not audiophile, previously I bought the Fiio FH3 to play on the PC and to listen to music on the phone, but the adapter I had did not give the quality or volume for the FH3, so I bought KA1, and instantly I noticed the change in quality, now if I was taking advantage of all the FH3, volume and clarity of sound,The quality of the materials of the KA1 is good, but the way of assembly can fail you, the dalo of the usb C cable I took off the base with the body I solved it with glue, nothing serious but to be careful when disconnecting.ESPAclaro no soy audiofilo, anteriormente compre los Fiio FH3 para jugar en la PC y para escuchar musica en el telefono, pero el adaptador que tenia no daba la calidad ni el volumen para los FH3, a si que compre KA1, e instantaneamente se noto el cambio de calidad, ahora si estaba aprovechando todo de los FH3, volumen y claridad de sonido,La calidad de los materiales del KA1 es buena, pero la forma de ensamble puede que te falle, del dalo del cable usb C se me despego la base con el cuerpo lo resolvi con pegamento, nada grave pero de tener cuidado al desconectar

Very Good Audio Dongle for Phones Without Headphone Jacks
My Pixel 6A has no audio jack. I purchased this dongle to allow me to plug in my IEM and headphones. It works well and the sound quality is very good (maybe not superb). It does drain the phone's battery fairly quickly and there is no way to connect power and the dongle simultaneously. I have tried Roon ARC with and without its USB driver enabled. The USB driver disabled is more stable. Turning on the USB driver seems to cause more problems for ARC. For general listening to music and talk it really is fine. The build quality appears good. I have not tried it on my desktop systems.

Feels good, doesn’t sound as good as a ‘normal’ adapter
I recently purchased a pair of Linsoul KZ ZS10 Pro 2 IEMs which have so far impressed me for the price. I wanted to use them with my iPhone 13 Pro for commuting but only had an old Belkin Rockstar adapter I bought a while ago. It’s a bit bulky and was not really aimed for hifi use so I figured I could get more out of the iem’s with something like this. I don’t listen to any flac, MCQ or other lossless sources, just the highest available on Spotify. This Fiio KA1 has excellent build quality and is just the right size for portability. I don’t think the cable will ever be an issue with normal usage. That said, I pretty much immediately noticed some small distortion and muddled audio compared to the belkin adapter. It was most noticeable with bass at all volumes. I won’t say it sounded like AM radio, but it was not at all what I expected and considering the price for the KA1, it’s just not worth it. Unless you really need MQA, I would probably stick with Belkin or another cheaper adapter. I only used it for 30 min or so, but as others have mentioned it looks like it does take a hit on battery life. One thing I’ll note is that my iem’s are pretty sensitive and perhaps this is more aimed at larger cans with higher impedance. Audio can be subjective and everyone has their own preferences so take this review with as much salt as needed.

Added some volume, opened up the sound stage
Use this with my Audio Technica ATH-M50x and my Sennheiser 560s. Listening on Spotify at full quality. The dongle really helped power both pairs of headphones. With the Sennheiser open back cans the sound stage really seems to open up pretty noticeably. The Audio Technica cans have more pronounced highs and mids to go along with the already pronounced lows. For $50 I'm super pleased. I no longer have to max out the volume to get good sound. The dangling cable on this unit seems less than durable but only time will tell. IMHO this is definitely worth a try at such an affordable price. Great addition to my setup, especially for use out in the everyday world.

Somehow less functional than a regular dongle
Don’t let yourself get fooled into thinking you need a dac adapter in order to play Hifi on your phone, a regular dongle is perfectly fine (yes, even for playing flacs), in fact this has less functionality than a regular dongle (at least on ios). After two days of owning this the firmware corrupted, and there is 0 ways to reinstall it on ios (currently) so you have to use an android or windows device to fix it if this happens. The ios fiio app is also completely useless when it comes to tweaking ANY settings since it only has settings for bluetooth fiio dacs, even though the android version can and does have settings for the KA1. Also, the KA1 does not support mic passthrough on ios (even though it can on android) so if you have an iphone you better hope you never need to make any calls while you use this. It also consumes a lot of power, it is my fault for not anticipating it, but my phone loses battery far, FAR quicker than I expected, while in use I get about a third of the time I usually get out of my phone (iphone 14) before I need to charge it again. And even though I have been as careful as I possibly could be, since this costs so much for what it does, the cable broke after two months. Regular 3.5mm to lightning dongles can (somehow) do more than this for a quarter (or less!) of the price of this. I can confidently say this has been my absolute worst purchase when it comes to audio products, and I feel like a sucker for falling for the lies that the phone dac/amp industry has sold me.
