Why did you pick this product vs others?:These are perfect for mounting your cell phone holder if you want it to have an awesome grip. Sometimes the textured surface on your dash or console doesn't allow for a tight grip and these are the perfect solution. Get them! you won't be disappointed.

While this works great on my textured dash (which prevents my suction cup mounts to stick to) for my GPS suction cup mount, I also found it works great for holding the suction cup mount for my handheld shower sprayer in the bath. Many bathtub/shower units have a smooth textured surface that will hold my hand shower suction cup mount for a little while, but they eventually fall off due to the surface not being perfectly flat. I used one of these mounting pads in my shower and the 3M adhesive sticks well so my hand shower mount NEVER falls off anymore.

As these slid off my dash the 1st time my car was left in the heat, they are worthless.

These worked to keep my Garmin GPS on my dashboard. I hope they continue to do so.

The plastic mount on my bean bag GPS mount developed a crack which made it impossible for the suction cup to seal on plastic mount. I have been contemplating how to repair or cover the crack rather that toss it out, as it has been my good friend on the road for 12 years. Then I saw these mounting disks. It was the perfect solution. I ordered the 80mm diameter disk, see picture (with protective film on it still). Works perfect for my application. I think it would be overly ambitious for someone to think that this will adhere to the textured dash materials we have today, and I chose not to risk creating a blemish on my otherwise like new dash. 5 stars for my application. Installed disk in a 2009 Chevy impala, works like a champ, very important to prep surface before installing, also not stated is that 3m vhb tape should be installed when temps are above 60 degs, I installed mine in December and live in the state of WI, they way I got it to cure and stick was to heat the dash with a heat gun and I checked temp of dash with a handheld ir thermometer, I started my car and ran the defrosters to help heat dashboard, after getting dashboard to a temp of 110 degrees I also heated disk as well, applied disk to dash and held with firm pressure for approx 3-4 minutes, as the outside temps were in the 40’s when I did this I used the remote start after installing to keep dash as warm as possible for the next 2 hrs, I let disk cure for 2 days before installing gps unit to it, so far so good, I do believe the people that are having problems with disk sticking is that they did not properly prep surface before installing, 3m tape also has a shelf live of only 12 months after manufacturing, I hope this review helpsUpdate 1/16/2025Disk is stuck to dash but gps suction cup will no longer stay on disk for more than 10 minutes before falling off, this does not seem to be a problem on the windshield or side windows, don’t understand why the suction cup won’t stick to disk anymore 🤷🏼‍♂️if you look at the disk you can tell it’s not smooth, it has imperfections in it that let the air seal leak,
