Good quality, well designed, versatile and roomy bag
I had spent several hours looking for a backpack style camera case that would meet my requirements:* Comfortably hold my Nikon DSLR with kit lens, 55-300mm zoom lens, small macro lens, remote shutter release, gorillapod, filters, spare battery, cleaning brush and cloths.* Allow quick access to the camera and lenses, preferably wearable as a `sling' bag so I could slide it from back to side/front of my body.* Have space to hold an iPad.* Cost less than £50 but be of decent quality.I had all but given up, as bags seemed to come in a couple of types: small sling bags which might hold all my camera gear at a push but would not accommodate an iPad, or larger backpacks which had to be removed to allow access to camera and lenses. There were a few high-end sling types which met most of the requirements but were over budget.I had almost given up the search when I noticed this USA Gear bag on Amazon. Although it was a few pounds over budget, it was £15-20 cheaper than any others I had seen. It seemed to fit the bill, though I wasn't sure it would slide around and give easy access to the camera but I decided to order it anyway, figuring that it could always be sent back if I was unhappy with it.As soon as I opened the box it came in, I could see that this was a quality item, made from fairly substantial rip-stop nylon, with joints, seams and zips looking to be of high quality. After a quick inspection I wore the bag in a sling style with the strap over my left shoulder. It was easily pulled round to the front left of my body, and the `side camera access' opening (see product picture #3) was ideally placed to allow access to the main storage compartment. Once unzipped, the cover opened away from my body, just as I had hoped. The cover itself has a soft-lined pocket in the interior side, with a Velcro fastening. The main interior compartment is roomy enough to hold the main items (Camera body, lenses, gorillapod, the 2 x velvet covered pockets in the main access panel will happily hold filters and cleaning gear, memory cards and iPad photo connector accessory go in the small front compartment, leaving the `large accessory storage' and side zip pocket free. (The large accessory area contains the supplied waterproof cover in an internal mesh pocket.)Finally, my iPad fits easily into the back padded compartment, which also took my 15inch laptop with ease. The tripod holder on this bag is better than others I have seen, as it uses a lower round pocket to hold the folded legs and an upper strap to secure close to the tripod head, making for a fairly secure attachment. The downside of this arrangement is that the lower pocket doubles as the water bottle holder, so you cannot carry both but that's not an insurmountable problem. The case comes with a 3-year Warranty (register online within 30 days), although the warranty terms specify shipping the faulty item back to manufacturer - given that it's "USAGear" I'd be tempted to lodge any claims with Amazon first! All in all, I'm very happy with a quality, well-designed item available at the right price. :)

A good purchase.
I have been using this bag for about three weeks now, and it is a very comfortable and light, but still rugged, rucksack of good quality. It does not feel cheap, it's not bulky, and certainly does not advertise that you are carrying expensive gear inside, unlike many other purpose-built bags. The main section carries my Nikon D3100 DSLR with a 55-200mm lens and hood, a 18-55mm lens, a spare battery and charger, USB and media cables, memory cards, a universal power adapter, a couple of lens pens, two rain covers (one came with the rucksack), a flashlight and a notepad and pen. And it still have enough space for a future lens or two, and a speed light. Because the dividers are stuck with Velcro, you can easily reconfigure your internal space to suit your needs or camera size. The laptop compartment is well padded, and easily accommodates a 15.6" HP Pavillion Sleekbook. The top compartment is deceptively roomy. My 3rd generation Kindle (the one with the keyboard) fits flat, even within its case, and I can still add my wallet, keys, phone and other small items. The tripod holder manages my Camlink TP-2800 tripod, which is similar in size to the one in the sample pictures for the rucksack, and the main reason I purchased this bag. I also use an extra strap at the top for stability. My only complain is that, if you use a configuration that allows side access, your camera will then be held only by the lens, as there is no specific support for the body. I fixed this by fashioning a cushion using a spare rain cover, so not a big issue.

Maximum flexibility
I have for years used Lowepro camera bags exclusively because for their excellent quality, but I wanted something to carry camera gear and a laptop and didn't want to pay Lowepro prices. While I miss all those little features that you take for granted with Lowepro (good zips, double zip pulls and such.), this is a very good bag.It is roomy and light, with lots of compartments and an easily configurable interior. My favourite feature is the variable strap arrangement which allows it to be used as a sling or as a backpack. With a waist strap for both configurations and a sternum strap for the backpack, it feels comfortable and secure however you want to carry it.It seems to be sufficiently padded to protect the content. The waterproof cover is effective, while not as convenient as the tuck-away Lowepro 'All Weather' cover. The tripod carrier works as well as others I've used, but I've never been completely happy with any.I'm not sure it will last as long as some of my other bags, but overall and at the reasonable price I paid I'm very happy with it.

Great bag at a great price
Received the usa gear S17 dslr camera bag today & I am very pleased with my purchase . Having looked at many brands and designs I finally decided on this one . It looked like it was just what I'd been after . Ample room in main compartment for nikon d5100 camera , 18-55 kit lens , 55-300 zoom lens & sigma 105 2.8 macro lens plus cleaning pen & large blower . There's then enough room in top compartment for extras like food, spectacles, wallet etc . Or extra gear if you wish. It really is well designed &put together . Despite the gear you can fit in the bag it really isn't over large & is really comfortable to wear . The side access is also a nice touch allowing you to take out the camera without having to take the bag off or open up the entire rear cover . You can fit a lap top in the back compartment & there's a side pocket to take the feet of a tripod, secured with provided upper strap or you can use the pocket for a water bottle . I would recommend this bag to anyone .

Great price for such a nice bag
Great bag. I realized I would have appreciated few more dividers or pouches in the upper compartment to store cleaning stuff. That's minor issue. I use the tripod pouch on the side for water bottle. Great buy!

Ottimo per le mie escursioni giornaliere
Bello! Ribadisco:bello!

Fully Customizable sturdy backpack
Great backpack. Gorgeous color. Solid backpack for the price. Lots of pockets and was happy to see the bottom of the top compartment pouch can come off so you can access the lower half of the backpack. Great customizeability and the rain pouch is a nice extra. Full featured, sturdy, fully customizable. The extra straps are a bit annoying though, wouldve been nice to be able to tuck them away or remove them, but thats just nitpicking.

The perfect bag
Was looking for a decent sized bag that wouldn't be huge or tiny. This one struck the right balance. Can fit my body with the added battery grip with 5 lenses.Loved the side zipper where you can just grab something without putting the camera on the ground.Overall is a very nice bag, sturdy with plenty of space and protection. And most importantly is not as big as some other brands keeping a nice balance between size and practicality. It is also priced decently for such quality. I refuse to believe that other major competitor big name brands in the market that charge 400CAD for a camera bag would be so much better.
