beautiful notepads or sketch for inks. the size was great. the look was beautiful and I gave it to somebody as a gift as he liked it so much. the paper is heavy enough for pastel or actual ink. so if you do calligraphy they would look beautiful in such a nice product. well done Amazon

Although the paper is thick(200 GSM if I remember correctly ) it’s quite delicate ? If you lean on it too hard then coloured pencil will rip through it ,rub off the top layers of the page or at the very least wear down the paper , it says it’s suitable for pencil and water colour however I’d say it’s best suited for pen , for the price though it’s still a great little book to use on the go , if you are looking for an affordable sketchbook that will work with pencil and paint I’d recommend pink pig sketch books , I’ve bought many of their products and for the price they don’t disappoint !

Nice classy sketchbook. Though not offered as a watercolour pad the paper is thick enough to take wet media to a useful extent for mixed media work. Elastic closer keeps it neat and damage free when in a bag. The recipient was delighted and started using it straight away! Will buy again.

Bought as a gift for a niece as she loves to draw. Thick pages meaning colours won’t bleed through. Lots of pages and a great size.

I attend a weekly art class. I wanted a small sketchbook which I could use to practice in before committing my drawings to more expensive art paper. This was ideal for this purpose. The paper was good quality and the book looked more expensive that it actually was. It was a handy size for carrying about with me. A Good buy.

I purchased this pad to use as a colour swatch pad but the paper is too rough and doesn't work well with pencils. I will keep it as a general sketch book (because I can't return it) but I wouldn't buy again. I prefer smoother papers and there are actually smooth papers with some tooth! This is sand paper...I wouldn't recommend it for Sharpies either, I tried to write a title and it almost bleed on the opposite side. Disappointing quality but what could I expect for the price.

I couldn't not try this considering the price. It looks like a Moleskine book being the same dimensions, elastic locked and having a document pouch at the back. This is landscape rather than portrait - the portrait equivalent is a little more expensive.I was sold on the description of the paper - 200gsm. That compares to 165 in the Moleskine. The paper is rougher than the smooth Moleskine pages. You can produce perfectly good ink sketches, and I was very impressed with the way it took watercolour - if anything I would say that the colours are more vibrant than in the Moleskine. There are 70 pages, compared to 104 in the Moleskine book, so that's two thirds. But it's so much cheaper - you could buy 3 of these and it would still be cheaper than one Moleskine book. This is by far the finest budget travel journal I've come across yet.
