This is the salt you should definately use for a Kinetico/Harvey/Crown water softenerm no ifs or buts.I tried a cheaper salt (SIWA) and it was a bargain but I soon realised why. I thought how can salt be different, its SALT, thats it. Well clearly those guys have found a way to add some sort of filler to theirs and the result is that your soft water is not great, it's not what you expect it to be, it's almost like someone diluted it.Back to these bad boys and 2 days later once the system had fully flushed the SIWA crud out and beatiful soft water was back, like the day it was installed.LESSON LEARNED - Don't buy any salt other than Harvey/Kinetico. Your water softener and skin will thank you later.

We always get these ones as they are easy to put in the soft water softener, don’t make as much mess and this particular brand would seem cost effective.
