Works well for beveling PVC pipes
Easy to use either by hand or on a drill/driver to bevel edges of PVC pipes before gluing. Many people (including plumbers :O) don't seem to know you are supposed to bevel the ends of PVC pipes before gluing them up. This allows the cement to spread instead of just being pushed to the end of the joint. Maybe the joint will be fine without beveling (and taking the time to prep, clean, and prime)... and maybe it won't... I've had enough "professionally done" joints come apart that I'm no longer willing to accept bluster from tradespeople -- If you do work for me, you do it properly or not at all.

I have pool service company and I frequently cut and glue pvc pipe together. This tool is quick and easy to use and drastically reduces the chances of leaks.

Dual Purpose Chamfering but Weak Design Point
This dual sided chamfering or deburring tool by ORXPLUS will quickly and easily chamfer your larger sized plastic pipes up to 3-3/8" (internal chamfer). The tool fits easily into a drill and is designed to only cut in a clockwise direction just like a regular drill bit. The tool utilizes cutting blades that fit into the grooves of the cone shaped cutting tool and are locked in place by a retaining nut at the top that also allows for locking of the mandrel and 3/8" drive shaft. The 3/8" drive shaft does mean that you'll need a drill chuck to mount as it's bigger than a typical hex drive which is 1/4". The instructions also do not recommend using this with an impact driver.I found the key to getting this to cut well is using the right speed. Unless you're able to clamp the pipe down, using too fast a speed will cause some chattering and leave you with a not so smooth finish. I got good results using lower speeds and controlled pressure while turning. It will also be sensitive to any deformation in the pipe and may not cut evenly if the pipe end is not cut square or perfectly round. It can take some practice to get ideal results. Although this is designed for plastic, I had some success with aluminum too. You just have to go slow but you may dull the blades more quickly with aluminum tubing. I did notice that when the end nut is removed, the way the mandrel fits into the cone casting does leave a weak spot around the top. The first one I used actually cracked at this point with just a few uses without any obvious cause. Luckily, I caught this in time to process a return and the new one has not shown signs of damage although I will monitor this connection point in future to see if it fails again. Overall, I'm very happy with the performance of this tool for chamfering but I feel like the design of the casting mount could have been better. For the current price of $64.99, this is a pricier but specialized tool so I'll give it 4 stars.

Good tool, but very expensive. Not a DIY project purchase. This is for the professional.
This tool is far and away better than the anodized aluminum ones with three cutting blades. It has seven!. It works well. I’m not sure it’s worth the exorbitant price unless you’re doing high volume to warrant the expense.

It works but I've used better chamfer tools
It works but its not as smooth as others i have used. Spin your drill real slow and don't apply much pressure is the best method with this chamfer/devouring tool.

love this! even with wet and dirty hands, still easy to use.
Really happy I bought this. So much less time than using a pencil style deburring tools and god-only-knows to deburr a pipe when you're under the house.

Reamer/chamfer bit for plastic pipe
Works good on plastic pipe up to two inch. Seems to be starting to wear out a little. I hope it lasts!
