Q: Can this be used as a detergent booster

I don't think you should use it on clothing to wash it. This is a heavier chemical that removes rust, it definitely might break down delicate clothing a bit.

Q: Does this product contain chlorine?

No, it does not. If it does, I would not be able to oxidize titanium electrochemically in its solution.

Q: I painted cabinets yellow. Polyurethane was rough and ugly will this help?

If you want to get rid of a paint layer then sand it really good and use this to clean the bottom layer before you paint again, if that helps at all. It won't dissolve paint, but it cleans and may help remove rust too to prep for painting again.

It has several mixing instructions to vary strength. I mix a little heavy (1-1/2 Tbs. per pint)and spray my floors with it before mopping. This box will likely last years. I also mix mine with Borax. Found it very effective cleaning grout...cheap too.
